A uniquely designed steel enclosure made with quality components throughout. My goal was to spare no expense. I realize that sometimes in the world of guitar gear, there isn’t always one answer in choosing the best components and designs, so I just picked my favorites. This includes Switchcraft 11 open frame jacks, and a super quiet soft touch switching system via an internal relay.

I have been working on this project for the better part of three years, as a collaboration and with engineering by Jon Ashley of Bondi Effects. I feel that the pedal is unique in design and sonically unlike anything I have ever heard, especially in the lower gain and boost settings. There is a subtlety that feels more like a vintage pedal than a modification of a classic. There are two circuits present in the pedal, one distortion and one preamp boost, running at 18v via an internal voltage regulator. I made this pedal with the idea to create a distinction for my own sound, and what I found is that it is an extremely useful tool for capturing a lot of different types of sounds. I am most proud of the lower gain side, as I feel it is the most unique section of the pedal, but I must also include that the gain section is extremely sweet sounding throughout, especially for heavy and complex chords. There is a midrange punch that I love and a warmth and thickness that reminds me a bit of a ribbon mic. When the development of this pedal turned into something new and unique, it became the catalyst to starting 1981 Inventions, so I decided to make this the first official release.

Mit dem leichteren Aluminiumgehäuse, der gelben Metal-Flake-Lackierung und der mattschwarz lackierten Unterseite ist der 2013er DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 die ideale Grundlage das Vermächtnis von DOD weiterzuführen.

Der DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 (2013) bietet, wie seine Vorgänger, einen Gain- und Level-Regler. Mit Gain wird der Verzerrungsgrad bestimmt. Dieser reicht von leicht angezerrt bis kräftig verzerrt. Mit dem Level-Regler kann dem Klang mehr Substanz hinzugefügt werden, sodass das Pedal auch durchgängig angeschalten bleiben kann - oder weiter aufgedreht einen kräftigen Boost liefert, mit dem sich Soli selbst im dichtesten Soundmix durchsetzen. Die True-Bypass-Schaltung sorgt dafür, dass der Gitarrensound auch bei ausgeschaltetem Pedal klar bleibt. Dies ist ein großer Unterschied vom Original, welches den Klang des Instruments auch im ausgeschalteten Zustand färbte. Dank dem 9V-Eingang ist das Pedal nun auch noch Pedalboard-freundlicher.

The classic returns, first conceived by David Oreste Defrancesco (DOD’s namesake) in the ’70’s as a way to get distortion and boost without any of the downsides that came with some of the fuzzes of the era. This updated version uses the vintage correct LM741 OpAmp, just like back in the ’70’s. Modern appointments like a tough, light, pedalboard friendly aluminum chassis. standard power input jack, true bypass, LED indicator, and bullion gold powder-coat makes the 250 at home on any pedalboard.

The Buffered Splitter is one of the most useful pedals. Use it at the beginning of your chain as a regular buffer and use just one output (Which still sounds fantastic), throw it in the middle of your chain to go stereo without killing your high end, or even throw it at the end of your pedalboard to run dual mono without having to run an extra cable for every effect.

Our goal with Lex was to create the most realistic sounding, flexible rotating speaker effect ever fit within a pedal. As part of that, Lex features a full suite of practical controls to help you shape your rotary tone to your heart’s content. A major part of that is Lex’s dedicated Horn Level control, which adjusts the output level of the high frequency rotating horn. Turn it up for added output that will help your rotating effect cut through the mix, or dial things back to mellow out Lex’s higher frequencies. For this new generation of Lex, we’ve added a Dry mix control, which allows you to add more dry mix to your signal for a cleaner, clearer tone — or go full wet, and truly immerse your signal in rotating speaker goodness. Das Maestro Agena Envelope Filter Pedal wurde für einfache Bedienung und optimierte dynamische Kontrolle entwickelt. Der Agena bietet zwei unterschiedliche Filterfrequenz-Optionen für ein breites Spektrum an Klangmöglichkeiten. Musikalisch und inspirierend – es liefert garantiert den Funk. Dieses komplett analoge Pedal verfügt über einen zweipositionierten Modus-Kippschalter für erhöhte klangliche Vielseitigkeit. Die LO-Modus-Einstellung fokussiert das Filter auf einen tieferen Frequenzbereich, während die HI-Modus-Einstellung einen höheren Frequenzbereich betont. Das intuitive 3-Knopf-Bedienfeld ermöglicht es, schnell den gewünschten Sense-Wert (Empfindlichkeit und Reaktion auf den Anschlag), die Attack (Geschwindigkeit, mit der sich das Filter öffnet) und die Decay (Länge der Filteröffnung) einzustellen. Der True-Bypass-Fußschalter aktiviert die LED-Leuchten in den Buglen des Maestro-Logos, wenn das Pedal eingeschaltet ist, sodass man stets weiß, wann der Effekt aktiv ist. 

The Maestro Agena Envelope Filter pedal is designed for ease of use and is tailored for optimized dynamic control. The Agena offers two distinct filter frequency options for a wide range of tonal possibilities. Musical and inspiring, it will surely bring on the funk. This all-analog pedal boasts a two-position Mode toggle switch for increased sonic versatility. The LO mode setting focuses the filter in a lower frequency range, while the HI mode emphasizes a higher range of frequencies. The intuitive 3-knob control layout lets users quickly set the desired Sense (the envelope’s sensitivity and response to your picking attack), control the Attack (how fast the filter increases or opens up), and adjust the Decay and how long the filter stays in the open position. The true bypass footswitch triggers the LED lights in the bugles in the Maestro logo when it’s on, so you’ll always know when the effect is active.
