Alkene Nashville Overdrive

OVERDRIVE
Description
The Browne Amplification Alkene is a standalone overdrive pedal that captures the "green side" of the company’s famous Protein dual overdrive. Its circuit is based on the classic "Nashville" overdrive sound, specifically the Nobels ODR-1 platform, but modified with restored mid-frequencies and a tighter low end for increased clarity. The pedal features Level, Tone, and Drive controls, supplemented by an external toggle for switching between symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping modes. Internally, users can access two additional dip switches: "More Clip" for increased gain and aggression, and a "Low Cut" to refine the bass response. Designed to be highly touch-responsive, it functions as both a transparent rhythm drive and a singing lead pedal. The unit features soft-relay switching and is housed in a durable matte powder-coated enclosure.Media
