Here comes BOSS' homage to the powerful sound of the amplifier towers in the 60s and 70s rock music! Without a doubt, the sound of the early 4 x 12 tube heads shaped the sound of rock music forever, and that sound is immortalized on a variety of records from the '60s and '70s, a universal standard. BOSS has now captured this classic sound in a pedal with its outstanding modeling technology: every guitarist can now enjoy this classic sound with their clean amplifier - whether it's a practice amp, combo or stack. Rough, powerful, with the typical power amp distortion, powerful and penetrating, it just sounds "loud" and heavy at any volume! With a Stratocaster-like guitar (and the SOUND control between "Crunch" and "Drive") it sounds typical in the style of Hendrix and 60s rock, with a humbucker guitar (and the SOUND control on "Drive") it comes very typical 70s rock sound á la AC/DC from this pedal! With the SOUND control all the way to the right ("Ultra"), the BOSS engineers have given the pedal even more gain than was possible at the time - for guitarists who can't get enough!
