Je mehr du den Regler gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehst, desto mehr werden die Signalspitzen abgesenkt. Der Sustain-Regler steuert die Stärke der Kompression und sorgt für einen straffen Sound und ein natürliches Sustain ohne Verzerrungen.
Das CS-3 basiert auf einer leistungsfähigen VCA-Schaltung, die eine stabile und gleichmäßige Kompression mit minimalem Grundrauschen ermöglicht. Mit seinem charakteristischen, ausgewogenen Ansprech- und Kompressionsverhalten sorgt das Pedal für einen transparenten Klang über alle Spielstile hinweg. Ob knackige Country-Licks, druckvolle Power-Chords oder singende Soli – das CS-3 überzeugt als unverzichtbares Werkzeug für einen besseren Sound.
Mit dem Tone-Regler wird das CS-3 noch vielseitiger. Hierüber kontrollierst du den EQ des komprimierten Signals. Stärkere Einstellungen betonen die hohen Frequenzen und für einen schärferen, schneidenden Sound – perfekt für glockenklare Arpeggi, funkige Rhythmen und Passagen, die besonders herausstechen sollen. Je mehr du den Regler zurückdrehst, desto softer werden die Höhen, was einen warmen, weicheren Sound erzeugt, der sich besonders für Genre wie Jazz und Neo Soul eignet. Ganz egal, ob du eine Extraportion Biss oder Samt benötigst – mit dem CS-3 kannst du deinen Sound flexibel an deine Musik anpassen.

Compression evens out volume differences by lowering loud sounds and raising quiet ones. The CS-3's Attack knob lets you set how quickly the circuit makes this adjustment. Turning it clockwise preserves string attacks more strongly and creates a crisper, more percussive sound. The more you turn the knob counterclockwise, the more the signal peaks are reduced. The sustain knob controls the strength of the compression and ensures a tight sound and natural sustain without distortion.
The CS-3 is based on a powerful VCA circuit that provides stable and consistent compression with minimal noise. With its characteristic balanced response and compression characteristics, the pedal delivers transparent sound across all playing styles. Whether crisp country licks, powerful power chords, or singing solos, the CS-3 is an indispensable tool for better sound.
The tone control makes the CS-3 even more versatile. It lets you control the EQ of the compressed signal. Stronger settings emphasize the high frequencies and create a sharper, more cutting sound—perfect for crystal-clear arpeggios, funky rhythms, and passages that need to stand out. The more you turn the control back, the softer the highs become, creating a warm, softer sound that is particularly suitable for genres such as jazz and neo soul. Whether you need an extra dose of bite or velvet, the CS-3 lets you flexibly adapt your sound to your music.

Die Induktionsspule dieses Pedals wurde ganz klar vom VOX-Original inspiriert und bietet eine entsprechend größere Dynamik und einen fetteren Sound. Based on the specifications of the VOX pedal introduced in the 1960s, this wah-wah offers the same legendary sound. New features include the power supply connection and the buffered input jack, which prevents colouration of the guitar signal when the pedal is switched off. The induction coil of this pedal was clearly inspired by the VOX original and offers correspondingly greater dynamics and a fatter sound. This new edition is especially designed for guitarists of all genres whose signal path would be incomplete without a wah pedal.

Turning Focus CCW you need to play harder to get distortion and the tone is softer, great for jazz and blues. The OCD pedal is the only pedal that uses 2 x Mosfets configured as hard-clipping to 'Voltage reference" instead of the usual way: to ground." The earliest OCDs used 2 x Mosfets plus 1 x Germanium diode, but very quickly these diodes became harder and harder to find, and they became expensive.

Recently I stumbled across a reasonably large stash of the right kind of Germanium diodes so I ponied-up and bought all of them. So I decided to do a run of the ultimate OCD: a Custom Shop offering with a few circuit tweaks using 2 x Mosfets plus 2 x Germanium diodes, and one hell of a beautiful paint job... Metallic Teal with a chrome undercoat! This beauty morphs between blues and greens depending on the light and angle. And what would the ultimate OCD be without a Blue LED? The sound? Launched in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was not only the world’s first chorus effect pedal, but also the very first BOSS pedal. Three years later, this inventive new sound was squeezed into the blue CE-2 Chorus, and chorus pedals have remained in the compact lineup ever since. Four decades on, the spacious modulated tone of the signature BOSS effect is still loved by musicians everywhere. In 2016, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of BOSS innovation, the original analog chorus sounds are now reborn with the Waza Craft CE-2W. The CE-2W’s Standard mode faithfully recreates the classic CE-2 chorus sound, and adds an expansive new sound field with stereo output, which was unavailable in the mono CE-2. The MXR Phase 90 set the benchmark for phasers, with its thick and rich tone. Dunlop's in-house work horse, purchased in 1974, was meticulously specified and recreated as the '74 Vintage Phase 90. The hand-wired board features select resistors paired with handmatched FETs to achieve the same smooth and warm modulation as the original. The '74 Vintage Phase 90 comes housed in the classic orange finished box and is adorned with the unmistakable Script logo.

Teil der Magie dieses Hallgerätes war der Umstand, dass es in der Regel vorgeschaltet wurde was schnell dazu führte, dass das Hallsignal verzerrte und noch intensiver klang. Dieser Effekt ist heutzutage nicht so leicht zu reproduzieren, aber Catlinbread hat es mit einem zusätzlichen Preamp tatsächlich geschafft!

The outboard Fender 6G15 spring reverb unit is the sound of Surf guitar, Spaghetti Western and many other great guitar sounds from the sixties. Part of its magic, and how it differs from the internal spring reverb found in most Fender-style amps, is that it is run *in front* of the amp, causing the reverb signal to distort and sound more intense. Because there were additional knobs on the outboard units, you also have more control over the reverb qualities. The Dwell knob controlled how hard the springs were getting hit by the guitar signal. The Tone knob allowed the treble to be dialed back to just the right degree of brightness. It was also essentially a tube preamp, so it would color the sound going into the amp. All this added up to a very distinctive reverb sound with a lot of attitude and complex non-linearities that are hard to replicate. But we here at Catalinbread did just that! Besides giving you the classic three knob control compliment of the original, we’ve also added a great discrete preamp that you can control via the Volume knob for a healthy amount of great clean boost when you want it
