Utilizing the MOD slot on all new RockBoards® (except the DUO series), they provide various cable connections to fit a wide variety of needs as a convenient patchbay. The RockBoard® MODs provide a central access point from your instrument to your amp, as well as your power supply via IEC, and a 2.1 x 5.5 barrel thru power connector. The RockBoard® MOD 2 V2 is a pass-thru box especially designed for MIDI-controlled amplifiers and devices, USB connections to a computer, or a sound card. The sound ranges from a medium-heavy crunch to a deep dark, almost fuzz, with some fabulous 90s alternative rock distortion in the middle. I wouldn’t call it a modern metal pedal, but compared to Donner Morpher, it is much closer to modern metal-rock sounds. The versatility of Dark Mouse truly exceeds Morpher’s, as you can easily reach 70’s, 80’s, or modern 90’s metal-rock tones.
