The popular automatically adjusting bias on the Fuzz controls bias keeps the sweet spot at hand, and is especially nice for cleaner tones. And the Bass BluesFuzz JR has a Dry Low control on the side, to help dial in the bottom even when setting the fuzz for tighter tones. All Amptweaker fuzz pedals have a built-in 'guitar-style impedance, which allows you to put any other pedals in front without the traditional issues associated with vintage fuzz pedals. Bass BluesFuzz Jr

James Brown (no, not the Godfather of Soul), the ingenious amp tinkerer, has grabbed the good old Fuzz pedal and combined vintage sound with contemporary technology. As usual with Amptweaker, the Tightfuzz pedal offers a wide range of control options, which make the pedal incredibly flexible. Fuzzpedals often have problems with modern, buffered effect pedals. Vintage fuzz pedals are tuned to the high impedance of a guitar pickup and sound very strange with low impedance signals. Amptweaker has solved the problem by developing a special buffer circuit, which simulates a guitar pickup and is connected to the fuzz circuit. Unusually also the Fuzz Pot: both Fuzz intensity as well as the BIAS of the transistors is simultaneously influenced. The Tightfuzz can easily be integrated into modern pedalboards and delivers a variety of convincing sounds.

The Tight Fuzz Jr. takes the essential features of its larger counterparts, ensuring that no tone is sacrificed. The Tight/Normal/Fat switch lets you adjust the attack and response of the fuzz. If you want a thick and heavy fuzz tone then the Fat mode will provide, whereas the Normal mode delivers a full-bodied, chunky sound with plenty of character. Switch to the Tight setting to shelve some low-end, giving you a more aggressive tone that will cut through in busy mixes with a crisp bite.
As Versatile As You’d Ever Want:
A 60’s/70’s/Now switch gves you further tonal options. You can go from a classic Hendrix-style fuzz bark, to a more modern and saturated tone that works as well for rhythm tones as it does for leads. Essentially an EQ switch, you can also adjust your sound using the conventional Tone control, allowing you to brighten the fuzz the higher you crank it up!
A Germanium/Silicon switch gives you the best of both worlds. Often argued by Fuzz junkies, changing these output transistors lets you affect the warmth and top-end of the fuzz, meaning you will have no problem “tweaking” the pedal for the perfect fuzz sound. See what I did there?

On the TightFuzz models, an EQ switch provides 60's, 70's, or 'Now' tones, and there's also a Germanium/Silicon switch to change the output transistor for warmer or brighter/high gain distortion. The TightBoost is a cleaner version of the TightDrive, and includes a parked wah tone, and the Tight attack control.

The TightBoost™ version of the TightDrive overdrive pedal has less gain, more volume and provides a cleaner boost to drive your amp harder.  Along with the popular Tight control, it also has a Mid boost control that gradually adds a Parked Wah tone.  This makes it easy to add a controlled amount of ‘vowel’ tone to your boost.
