This is my do-it-all board for guitar and bass. 

I/O:
The Mod 2 is my I/O interface. Jack A is my instrument input that wires to the Peterson Strobostomp, and Jack C and D are my direct outputs. The IEC input connects to the power supply under the board.

Analogue gain:
-The IR-X is my main guitar amp inside the left FX loop of the HX Stomp. I have the Boosts set up as overdrives, so it functions more as a 4-channel amp: 
*Channel 1 - Clean, 
*Channel 1 + Boost - Edge of breakup
*Channel 2 - Rock crunch
*Channel 2 + Boost - Hard rock
-In cases of needing higher gain than what's provided on Channel 2 + Boost of the IR-X, the Vox Cutting Edge functions as a preamp in the right FX loop of the HX Stomp, returning into a cab sim on the Stomp.
-The Vox Silk Drib functions as a quick universal boost in front of the HX Stomp, with a slight boost in gain, more volume, and a slight mid bump for solos.

MIDI Footswitch:
The Ampero Control and Switch adds 4 footswitches to the HX Stomp.
-Bank 0 of the Control is Recording Mode.

*FS4 - Tap Tempo
-Bank 1 of is Songwriting Mode.

The Brain:
The HX Stomp functions as the brain of the whole operation. It provides any accessory dynamic and drive effects that I can't get from my IR-X, Vox pedal, or Boss SD-1. Its other primary function is to provide modulation and wet effects. The Expression input is open in case I come across a need for an expression pedal for pitch effects or swells. For use cases where I am playing bass, I bypass the FX loops and use a bass amp sim provided by the HX Stomp. The USB on the Stomp is easily accessible for using the Helix editor, direct recording, or re-amping. Additionally, the two balanced outputs are used as direct outs through the Rockboard Mod 2.

The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing.
