The Shnobel Tone Buffer is a compact class A Buffer that is designed to give you the most natural tube like guitar sound taking the output of guitars high impedance signal and turning it into a low impedance output that is a strong signal and is not effected by long cables. The toggle on the top of the buffer is for adding cable length to the input of the buffer to load the input signal down when used after a fuzz pedal for example where the cable length will vary the top end of the sound of the fuzz, this cable emulating circuit is also found on our Buffer Fuzz Interface pedal, the toggle can add 10 feet or 20 feet to the input, setting it at zero will give you standard buffer operation.
