The Red Hot is a high-gain boutique overdrive and distortion pedal designed to emulate the sound of a vintage Marshall Plexi stack pushed to its limits. It utilizes a three-stage gain structure to produce a fat, saturated tone characterized by a "Maximum Boost" singing quality and significant sustain for harmonics. The circuit is designed to maintain consistent bottom-end response and clarity whether used at high stage volumes or low bedroom levels. Unlike some traditional pedals, it aims for a naturalistic feel with less artificial clipping, providing more articulation while retaining its "stack-in-a-box" identity.
