The Franklin Audio MP-10 is a microphone-to-instrument preamplifier that converts low-level mic signals to instrument-level signals suitable for guitar/bass pedals and effects chains. It offers ultra-high headroom and transparent amplification so the original mic tone is preserved while giving proper gain and impedance for downstream pedals. The MP-10 provides phantom power (48 V) for condenser mics and supports dynamic and ribbon mics as well. It features a balanced XLR mic input, a “mic-thru” output (balanced XLR) to retain an untouched copy of the signal, and a unbalanced ¼" instrument-level output for pedals or amplifiers. The unit runs on standard 9 V DC (center negative) pedal power and is built to fit on a pedalboard. Designed for vocal, acoustic, brass, and other mic-based sources, the MP-10 facilitates creative use of pedals with instruments and microphones.
