dpFX ALASTOR Guitar Overdrive/Distortion (Αλάστωρ)
FET based overdrive, reaching up-to distortion levels.
Make your Les Paul sound like a Stratocaster.
ALASTOR uses 3 MOSFET-transistor stages to simulate TUBE-amp overdrive while preserving the original tone of the guitar. Its gain can vary from low, mild overdrive up-to high-gain, distortion levels.
It is very responsive to the dynamics of your pick attack and the gain is easily adjustable even through your guitar volume pot. It also features BASS and TREBLE knobs giving you a wide range of sound colors, suitable for a lot of different music genres, from classic garage rock to heavy doom and stoner and even thrash metal. The DISTORTION knob is activated separately through a toggle switch. Its high input impedance and low output impedance makes it very friendly for interconnection with other types of pedal-effects.Media
