Der amerikanische Effektpedal-Hersteller Xotic ist bekannt für seine gut klingenden Overdrive-Pedale. Auf der NAMM 2019 in Anaheim zeigte er zwei interessante Neuheiten, die das Portfolio zukünftig ergänzen werden: den Xotic Super Sweet Booster und den Xotic Super Clean Buffer.

The Xotic Super Clean buffer landed on my board in an attempt to fight a major tone loss issue caused by my GigRig QuarterMaster loop switcher (check out my QuarterMaster review to learn more). Since I discovered that tone issue with the switcher, I started looking for possible simple cures that can bring sanity back to my board. I was really trying to avoid getting into replacing my QuarterMaster, simply because I had a really tough year, full of gear issues, technicians and technical support and I just got tired of it. I ended up getting an Xotic Super Clean and I'm very happy with it so far. My clean tone has never been so good through any pedal board before, with or without the switcher.

Soul Driven adds “soul” to your sound by producing creamy boost and overdriven tones with just the right amount of compression. The pedal is equipped with incredibly flexible tone shaping options to help customize your sound while preserving your guitar’s tone. The “Mid boost” knob pushes the mid-range frequencies creating rich dynamics and the “Tone” knob (not just your ordinary tone circuit) can be set from a super tight bottom end to “in your face” highs. Soul Driven will help you dial in the “sweet spot” every time.

Tighten up your tone even further by accessing the Bass Boost dipswitch which can be accessed by removing the back plate. Cut through the mix by adding up to +6dB @ 125Hz for fatter boost and overdriven tones.
