Mit dem Darkglass Electronics NSG präsentiert der finnische Effektpedal- und Bass-Amp-Hersteller ein sehr hochwertig gefertigtes Noisegate-Pedal, das allein schon aufgrund seines asketisch anmutenden Designs aus der Menge heraussticht. Lediglich mit einem Regler ausgestattet bietet es die Einstellung des Thresholds und mit Soft-Mode und Hard-Mode zwei Arbeitsweisen des Gates – mehr nicht! Ob sich das NSG klanglich mit seinem radikalen Ansatz von den Mitbewerbern absetzt, soll dieser Test herausfinden.

The NSG: Noise Gate comes as a response to these annoyances. Utilizing an adjustable threshold level to filter out sounds below a certain threshold, allowing for only the desired audio to be seized.

Die Kernschaltung des EHX Bass Clone Chorus Pedals ist nahezu identisch mit der des legendären Small Clone Chorus, aber mit zusätzlichen Funktionen speziell für Bass. The EHX Bass Clone Chorus pedal’s core circuitry is nearly identical to the legendary Small Clone chorus, but with added features especially for bass. Chorus is a combination of modulated and dry signals. The Bass Clone’s Crossover switch cuts low end from the modulated signal so the pedal delivers a more accurately articulated bottom end with excellent note definition. The Treble control affects the whole signal while the Bass control only affects the dry half. Together with the Crossover switch they provide precise sound shaping that lets you achieve a tight, focused bass guitar sound with a well-defined low end and shimmering chorus on top.

Die JHS Pedals Active A / B / Y ist die perfekte Lösung, wenn du ein Signal an zwei Ausgänge senden musst, und die Möglichkeit brauchst einen Ausgang (oder beide) im laufenden Betrieb zu schalten. Stecke einfach dein Instrumentenkabel (oder Patch-Kabel) in den Eingang und sende das Signal mit den Ausgängen an eine beliebige Kombination von Verstärkern, Schnittstellen, Mischkarten oder an einen anderen Ort, an den du dein Signal senden möchtst. Da die Active A/B/Y über einen Ausgangstransformator an einem der Ausgänge verfügt, ist kein Groundlift erforderlich. Der Transformatoreliminiert jedes  Brummen. Mit FET-Transistoren für völlig geräuschloses Schalten und der Möglichkeit, einen oder beide Ausgänge gleichzeitig zu verwenden, ist die JHS Active A/B/Y das eine Pedal, auf das du niemals verzichten wollen wirst!

The JHS Pedals Active A/B/Y is the perfect solution when you need to send one signal to two outputs with the ability to choose either output (or both) on the fly. Just plug in your instrument cable (or patch cable) into the input, then use the outputs to send signal to any combination of amplifiers, interfaces, mixing board, or anywhere else you want to send your signal. Because the Active A/B/Y has an output transformer on one of the outputs, there is no need for a ground lift as the transformer eliminates any hum. FET transistors for completely silent switching and the capability to use one or both outputs simultaneously, the JHS Pedals Active A/B/Y will be the one pedal that you can never leave home without!

Daher können sich die Vorstufen von Gitarrenröhrenverstärkern schon mal warm anziehen, denn der Way Huge Angry Troll Linear Booster wird ihnen mit bis zu 50 dB Gain-Anhebung garantiert das Fürchten lehren. Diese mächtigen Lautstärke- bzw. Gain-Reserven sorgen für einen erheblich bissigeren und mächtigeren Gitarren-Sound mit mehr Punch, und verwandeln ein schwächliches Signal in einen Klang-Hurrikan!

Die beiden Regler des Angry Troll „Volume“ und „Anger“ interagieren wie ein Vintage Micro-Preamp. Der „Anger“-Regler – ein Drehschalter mit 6 „Fists of Fury“-Positionen – bestimmt das Gain, während am Volume-Regler die Ausgangslautstärke geregelt wird. Nur hochwertige Komponenten werden für die exakt abgestimmten Schaltkreise des Angry Troll verwendet, der die perfekte Ergänzung zu einem guten Gitarren-Röhren-Amp darstellt. Höhere Gain-Einstellungen des Angry Troll erzeugen intern bereits einen leichten Zerr-Effekt. Ein weiteres Sound-Monster von Mr. Huge aus den USA!


The Angry Troll is a boost capable of pumping up to +50dB of gain into your signal – WHAT? That’s a TON on tap, and if you really need that much, maybe you should take a look at your setup. However, this red bastard doesn’t just boost – a second control knob, Anger, is a rotary switch with six different Fists of Fury positions, which adjust the amount of gain created by the pedal’s op-amp. Interacting with the Volume control, you get a vintage mic pre amp type of sound, with a little dirt foe extra good measure.

So erzeugt Huge Smalls Geisha Drive eine große Bandbreite dynamischer, berührungsempfindlicher Töne, die durch Einstellen des Lautstärkereglers Ihrer Gitarre von Overdrive bis Verzerrung eingestellt werden können. Die einfache Schaltung dieses Pedals lässt Ihre Persönlichkeit und die Ihrer Gitarre durchscheinen. Von außen ist eine unkomplizierte Drei-Knopf-Steuerung zu sehen. Aber sie zaubern raue, schleifende Töne hervor, die ebenso kraftvoll wie vielseitig sind und von der Intensität Ihres Anschlags und der Lautstärke Ihrer Gitarre geprägt werden. Bei niedrigen Drive-Einstellungen erhalten Sie eine warme, butterweiche Güte mit etwas Samt an den Rändern. Auf mittlerer Stufe erhalten Sie einen dicken, röhrenartigen Overdrive. Wenn Sie den Drive-Regler gegen Ende des Bereichs aufdrehen, erhalten Sie eine knorrige Donner-und-Blitz-Verzerrung. But they conjure up gritty, grinding tones that are as potent as they are versatile, and they’re shaped by the intensity of your attack and the volume of your guitar. At low Drive settings, you'll get a warm, buttery goodness with a bit of velvet around the edges. Midways gets you thick, tubey overdrive. Start cranking that Drive knob towards the end of the range, and you'll have gnarly thunder-and-lightning distortion.
