The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Utilizing the MOD slot on all new RockBoards® (except the DUO series), they provide various cable connections to fit a wide variety of needs as a convenient patchbay. With the RockBoard® MODs, you can permanently connect your pedals underneath your board and organize all connections to and from your effects setup in one convenient module. The RockBoard® MODs provide a central access point from your instrument to your amp, as well as your power supply via IEC, and a 2.1 x 5.5 barrel thru power connector. The RockBoard® MOD 3 V2 is a pass-thru box designed for use by vocalists and acoustic players. The 2x XLR outputs allow you to send a stereo signal from your MOD and the 1x XLR input can be used to connect your microphone. Ich freue mich, das Wampler Ego 76 Kompressor-Pedal vorstellen zu können, meine persönliche Hommage an den legendären 1176 Peak Limiter, der über Jahrzehnte hinweg die Musikwelt geprägt hat. Dieses Pedal ist nicht nur ein Gerät, es ist eine Reise in die Seele zeitloser Studio-Sounds, und ich freue mich, seine Geschichte zu erzählen.

Der Ego 76 geht über die konventionelle Rolle eines Pedalkompressors hinaus, indem er das Signal nicht nur quetscht, sondern es tatsächlich bereichert und aufwertet. Dank der FET-Technologie (Feldeffekttransistor) habe ich dem Pedal studioähnliche Attack- und Release-Regler, einen parallelen Clean-Blend-Regler und einen sorgfältig abgestimmten Tone-Regler spendiert. Ich habe jedes Element sorgfältig entwickelt, um den Geist des kultigen 1176 zu verkörpern und einen Hauch dieser Magie auf dein Pedalboard zu bringen.

I'm thrilled to introduce the Wampler Ego 76 compressor pedal, my personal tribute to the iconic studio compressor that has shaped the fabric of music over the decades – the legendary 1176 Peak Limiter. This pedal isn't just a piece of gear; it's a journey into the soul of timeless studio tones, and I'm excited to share its story.

The Ego 76 transcends the conventional role of a pedal compressor, moving beyond merely squishing your signal to actually enriching and elevating your sound. Fueled by FET-based (field-effect transistor) technology, I gave the pedal studio-like Attack and Release controls, a Parallel Clean Blend knob, and a meticulously tuned Tone knob. I carefully designed each element to encapsulate the spirit of the iconic 1176 and bring a touch of that magic to your pedalboard

The Fathom is a feature-rich reverb with 4 different customized reverb algorithms to choose from. Easily go from tasteful, small room reverb to long, modulated trails dripping of ambient goodness. Die Walrus Audio Julia ist ein komplett analoges Chorus/Vibrato-Pedal, das mit einigen Besonderheiten aufwarten kann. Obwohl es sich bei den beiden um alteingesessene Standard-Effektsounds handelt, versteht es der amerikanische Boutique-Hersteller, mit einigen Extras jenseits der Norm Interesse zu wecken.
So auch bei der Julia, bei der beispielsweise fließend mit einem Blend-Regler zwischen Chorus und Vibrato gewechselt werden kann. Dazu lässt ein Schalter die Wahl, den LFO zu Sinus- oder Dreieck-Wellenformen zu überreden. Was diese Funktionen klanglich bewirken, schauen wir uns im Folgenden an.

The Julia is a fully analog, feature-rich chorus/vibrato packed with a wide array of tonal landscapes begging to be explored. Updated for 2020, Julia now has top mounted jacks, soft switch bypassing and updated art from Adam Forster. 

Julia is able to produce mild smooth chorus, to seasick vibrato and everywhere in between. With controls like Lag, Dry-Chorus-Vibrato Blend, and selectable analog LFO wave shapes, you are able to dial in all types of classic and unique chorus/vibrato sounds; some settings giving a familiar feel while others are not found on traditional chorus pedals.

A special feature of the Julia is the Lag control. The Lag knob lets you set the center delay time that the LFO effect modulates from. From smooth and tight modulation at lower settings, to warbling detune at maximum, the Lag knob adds a new dimension to the traditional Chorus/Vibrato landscape.

The Lillian is a true bypass, all analog, multi-stage Phaser drawing inspiration from her cousin Julia. With controls like Rate, Width, Feedback, and D-P-V blend, the Lillian is packed with a wide array of analog phaser goodness waiting to be dialed in.

The “Stages” switch allows the user to select 4 or 6 stages which alters the overall voice of the effect from warm and tight phasing with 4 stages to a more complex filtered sound with 6.

The D-P-V knob lets you blend between dry, phase shifted, and vibrato sounds allowing for a wide range of control over the intensity and type of effect.

Top mounted input, output, and power jacks as well as soft switch relay bypassing make the Lillian fit well on your board and ensure smooth operation for years to come. 

Borrowed from the Julia, the unique blend between Dry, Chorus and Vibrato has also been provided on the Lillian. Blend between Dry, Phase Shifted, and Vibrato (labeled d-p-v on the pedal). The Dry-Phase-Vibrato blend changes the ratio of dry to wet signal sent to the output. At minimum, you will hear no effect. Set it to noon for equal parts dry and wet – the traditional Phaser setting. Set it to maximum for 100% wet resulting in pitch vibrato. Explore the ground between minimum and noon for adding slight amounts of movement to your dry signal. Explore the ground between noon and maximum for all sorts of unheard phase/vibrato combinations.

Like the Iguana that’s malleable to its environment, blending into its surroundings for harmonious balance or standing out with vibrant confidence, the Polychrome Flanger is a uniquely colorful tool for adding modulated textures to songs.   

The Polychrome is a true bypass, analog Flanger pulling in familiar layout controls from the Julia and Lillian. Dial in a wealth of colorful flange with the D-F-V (Dry, Flange, Vibrato) blend knob and the shape and voice switches.

The Shape Switch lets you select from sine, triangle, or random LFO wave to modulate the delay line.

The Voice Switch lets you select between two voices for the flanging effect. In the down position, the flanger is more traditional and full frequency. In the up position, you get a more complex and notched flange effect with less low end.

Like the other members of the Walrus Audio modulation family, the Polychrome has a blend knob. The D-F-V (Dry, Flange, Vibrato) knob lets you blend the dry and delayed signal from full dry at minimum (no effect), to traditional flange at noon to full pitch vibrato at maximum. Don’t sleep on the vibrato sounds in the Polychrome. Set the D-F-V knob to maximum, feedback to a minimum, and the voice switch up for some unique pitch vibrato.  

Top-mounted input, output, and power jacks as well as soft switch relay bypassing make the Polychrome fit well on your board and ensure smooth operation for years to come.
