Classic mode uncompromisingly delivers the coveted “Marshall in a box” tone, providing everything from fat and subtle rhythm sounds to screaming lead tones. Choose Smooth mode for a full-bodied and highly saturated drive reminiscent of Mesa Boogie’s finest. Crunch mode supplies a sublimely warm and chunky tone with drive levels well above most pre-amps.

Out of the box, the L.A. Lady offers outstanding tonal range, but dig a little deeper and discover the hidden power and flexibility of this golden stompbox. Every pedal in the One Series line is compatible with the Neuro Mobile App (a free download for iOS or Android). Link the L.A. Lady to the Neuro App and access its extended equalization capabilities as well as Source Audio’s free library of bonus overdrive, fuzz, and distortion algorithms – each algorithm can be downloaded directly to the pedal. Die Walrus Audio Julia ist ein komplett analoges Chorus/Vibrato-Pedal, das mit einigen Besonderheiten aufwarten kann. Obwohl es sich bei den beiden um alteingesessene Standard-Effektsounds handelt, versteht es der amerikanische Boutique-Hersteller, mit einigen Extras jenseits der Norm Interesse zu wecken.
So auch bei der Julia, bei der beispielsweise fließend mit einem Blend-Regler zwischen Chorus und Vibrato gewechselt werden kann. Dazu lässt ein Schalter die Wahl, den LFO zu Sinus- oder Dreieck-Wellenformen zu überreden. Was diese Funktionen klanglich bewirken, schauen wir uns im Folgenden an.

The Warden ist ein analoges Kompressor-Pedal mit klassischer Opto-Elektronikschaltung in kompromissloser Studioqualität. Auch bei The Warden setzt EarthQuaker Devices auf High-Grade-Bauteile. The Warden ist ein dank seiner sechs Regelmöglichkeiten (Tone, Level, Sustain, Ratio, Attack und Release) äußerst vielseitig einstellbares Kompressor-Pedal. Von einer kaum wahrnehmbaren, aber wirkungsvollen Kompression bis hin zu heftig komprimierten Tönen mit schnellem Attack reicht das Spektrum von The Warden. Die 9V-Netzgerätespannung wird intern in 18V umgewandelt, was für erweiterten Headroom und gesteigerte Dynamik sorgt. Die Opto-elektronische Schaltung bewirkt eine charakterstarke Kompression und der Tone-Regler ermöglicht sowohl Treble-Boosts als auch Treble-Cuts. The Warden ist mit einem True Bypass ausgestattet und wird in Handarbeit in Ohio/USA hergestellt. Der Warden V2 verfügt über einen geräuschlosen, relais-basierten Soft-Touch Fußschalter. Audiosignale haben keinen Durchgang, wenn das Gerät nicht mit Strom versorgt wird.

The Buffered Splitter is one of the most useful pedals. Use it at the beginning of your chain as a regular buffer and use just one output (Which still sounds fantastic), throw it in the middle of your chain to go stereo without killing your high end, or even throw it at the end of your pedalboard to run dual mono without having to run an extra cable for every effect.

The EHX Pico POG features a lighting fast feel that will track every note and chord you play with precision. Dial in Sub Octave to add stumble rumble or monstrous thunder. Add Octave Up for ethereal air or max it out to shred into another galaxy. Perfectly blend 3-voice tones for fat synthy madness. The 3 mode Tone control lets you tailor your sound to fit into any pocket no matter how massive or small.

Controls on the Pico POG include dedicated volumes knobs for the SUB OCTAVE, OCTAVE UP, and DRY voices. These three controls act as a mixer for infinite possible voice mixes. The TONE knob features three modes controlled by the FILTER button. In Tone Mode, the knob acts as a tilt-EQ with a flat frequency response in the center, more treble and less bass as you turn the knob clockwise, and less treble and more bass as you turn the knob counterclockwise. In this mode, the EQ is applied to all 3 voices. In Low Pass Filter mode, the knob cuts highs in the Sub and Octave Up voices, while High Pass Filter mode cuts lows in the Sub and Octave Up Voices.
