Description
The Vertex Effects Steel String Supreme is an all-analog solid-state preamplifier and overdrive pedal designed to replicate the clean, edge-of-breakup, and compressed response of the legendary Dumble Steel String Singer tube amplifier. Based specifically on serial #001 of an original 100-watt Dumble unit, it expands upon its predecessor, the Steel String MKII, by providing a full multi-channel preamplifier architecture. The circuit includes dedicated tone-shaping controls including an active EQ section with adjustable Filter midrange focus, parallel Clean blend, Fat lower-midrange control, and independent toggle switches for Bright/Deep and Rock/Jazz voicing modifications. Engineered for high versatility, the unit can function as a dynamic clean boost, a low-gain overdrive, or an amp-in-a-box solution that can be run directly into standard stage amplifiers, digital modelers, or impulse response cab loaders.Media
