Description
The Jekyll & Hyde V1 is a dual-channel effects pedal that pioneered the combination of two independent circuits in a single housing. The "Jekyll" side is a classic overdrive based on the Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer circuit, modified with an optional bass boost switch to retain low-end frequencies. The "Hyde" side features a heavy distortion circuit inspired by the Marshall Shredmaster, offering high-gain tones with extensive EQ controls including a mid-scoop adjustment. This version, originally released under the Visual Sound brand, allows both effects to be used individually or stacked for massive sustain. Its distinctive house-shaped metal enclosure and heavy-duty switches became a hallmark of the company’s early designs.Media
