Description
A compact tone-enhancing overdrive stompbox engineered primarily as a versatile multi-clipping tool optimized for gain stacking with other pedals and amplifiers. Developed in partnership with renowned builder Dan Coggins, the circuit evolved from a heavily modified MXR Distortion+ concept presented as a holiday gift to company founder Adrian Thorpe. The layout includes a dynamic three-position clipping toggle switch allowing players to choose between soft silicon, hard LED, and extra soft Schottky diode configurations. Frequency interaction is tailored using an interactive bite control that governs mid-range sizzle and high-end presence alongside traditional drive and level parameters. Internal construction details feature a robust gold-plated through-hole printed circuit board loaded with premium components like WIMA capacitors and 1% metal film resistors.Media
