The Pill Mini is an analog ducking‐effect pedal (side-chain compression) designed for live performance and studio use. Whenever the pedal detects a signal at its trigger input, the audio from the instrument/line inputs is automatically “ducked” (volume reduced) to create rhythmically linked interaction between sources. The three front-panel controls are Release (sets how long the ducking lasts), Depth (sets how much volume reduction) and Trigger (sets the sensitivity/threshold of the trigger input). The pedal accepts instrument/line inputs and also trigger inputs (audio or CV/gate) and outputs the ducked signal via instrument/line outputs; the trigger signal is not routed into the audio outputs. It is handmade in Switzerland (or Europe) with high-quality components and calibrated by ear.
