Eines dieser Geräte war der FA-1 FET Preamp, der schnell seinen rechtmäßigen Platz unter den Klanglegenden fand, als The Edge of U2 ihn bei der Aufnahme von "Unforgettable Fire" verwendete und ihn in seine nachfolgenden Touring-Rigs stellte. Der Clover Preamp / Boost ist eine JHS Interpretation des FA-1, jedoch mit einigen zusätzlichen Funktionen, die diese erstaunliche Schaltung noch besser machen. Du wirst bei deinen Gigs  nicht auf diesen glücklichen Tonformer verzichten wollen! Der Clover ist eine End-All-Preamp / Boost für akustische und E-Gitarren und Bässe. Der EQ ist einfach, kraftvoll und lässt keinen schlechten Klang zu. Während der Clover sich als Vorstufe / Boost für Dirt-Pedale auszeichnet, liegt sein Zauber darin, deinen Tube-Amp in den natürlichen Overdrive zu treiben. Mit dem EQ kannst du deinen persönlichen Sweet Spot einstellen, an dem dein Verstärker nachgibt. In early 1984 BOSS released two strange new devices under the name "The Pocket Series". The Keeley Dark Side is a full thick fuzz going into a modulation section which includes Uni-Vibe, Rotary Speaker and Multi Head Tape Delay among others, which is capable of yielding a ton of classic sounds inspired by David Gilmour. The Dark Side is not just a “Gilmour Tone emulator” though, in line with Robert Keeley’s “Neo Vintage” philosophy, it is rather his take on what he believes could have been improved on those classic tones should the technology had been around at the time. And it certainly shows, with features such as full-on magnetic drum delay emulation, the Dark Side offers a massive range tonal possibilities ready for you to discover.
