Das Double Dragon ist ein monophoner Oktav-Effekt, der die Klangcharakteristik legendärer Vintage-Oktavgeräte wie der MXR Blue Box, DOD Octoplus und Boss OC-2 nachbildet, aber mit einem eigenen Lo-Fi-Charme. Es lebt von einer warmen, analogen Klangqualität, die perfekt für kreative Musiker ist, die mehr als digitale Präzision suchen.

Der Sound des Double Dragon ist vollständig analog und bietet eine tiefe, fette Sub-Oktave, die als Grundlage dient, sowie eine höhere Oktave, die irgendwo zwischen einer Octavia und einem Superfuzz liegt. Diese Oktave ist grobkörnig und mit einem durchdringenden Midrange-Biss versehen, der sich durch den Mix schneidet. Der Effekt füllt den Raum aus und lässt deine Gitarre doppelt so groß klingen. Der linke Fußschalter schaltet das Gerät ein und aus, der rechte aktiviert den OCT+-Effekt.

In a world of perfect digital octaves, JHS Pedals has deliberately gone back to 40-50-year-old analogue octave divider technology. The Double Dragon is a monophonic octave effect that replicates the sound characteristics of legendary vintage octave devices such as the MXR Blue Box, DOD Octoplus and Boss OC-2, but with its own lo-fi charm. The Volume control adjusts the master output level and also provides a boost. The Dry control mixes your clean signal with the octave effects – from a clear to a completely “wet”, glitchy vintage synth sound. The OCT− knob controls the mix of the low sub-octave, while the OCT+ knob controls the upper octave and distortion, which is activated via the right footswitch. The left footswitch turns the unit on and off, while the right footswitch activates the OCT+ effect.

The Double Dragon is particularly well suited for use in combination with overdrive pedals such as the Tube Screamer to boost the midrange, or with fuzz to create maximum chaos. For a synth-like texture, we recommend combining it with pitch vibrato. The tracking characteristics of the Double Dragon come into their own even more vividly and interestingly with such combinations.

Das Pedal wurde entwickelt um den authentischen Sound eines Instruments (oder Mikrofons) am Direct-In der Mischpulte zu reproduzieren, dabei bietet die Colour Box V2 alle Features der beliebten V1-Version und kommt zusätzlich mit einer Vielzahl an Verbesserungen und neuen Features, die das Pedal zu einem perfekten Allrounder und Always-On Pedal für alle denkbaren Instrumente und sogar für Sänger machen. Zu den neuen Features zählen eine erweiterte EQ-Sektion, ein Hi/Lo Schalter für massiven, cleanen Headroom und die Möglichkeit 48V Phantom-Power an Kondensator-Mikrofone weiterzugeben. Die Gain-Sektion (Rot) bietet Regelmöglichkeiten Master, Pre-Vol und Step. Master kontrolliert das Gesamt-Volume des Pedals, Pre-Vol arbeitet als Gain-Regler zwischen den beiden internen Gain Stages und bietet bei Bedarf eine Verzerrung, die von leichten Break-Up-Sounds bis zu Fuzz reicht. The JHS Colour Box V2 has all the same functionality of the popular V1 version with many new and improved additions like expanded EQ controls, a Hi/Lo switch for massive clean headroom, and the ability to pass phantom power to your condenser mics. The Gain section in red has three controls: Master, Pre-Vol, and Step. The Master volume controls the overall volume of the unit. The Pre-Vol controls the amount of gain between the two internal gain stages. This acts as a "drive" or "gain" control, adding more grit, distortion, and even fuzz as you increase the gain. The Step control increases the gain of each preamp stage in five stages. Rotating the Step knob from left-to-right will increase the gain by the following: 1st is +18 dB, 2nd is +23 dB, 3rd is +28 dB, 4th is +33 dB, 5th is +39 dB. The JHS Colour Box V2 has a new Hi/Lo switch to control the amount of clean headroom you have available. In the Lo mode, you will easily be able to get ultra clean sounds without breakup. Lo Mode is excellent for tone shaping when distortion is not needed. In the Hi mode, the Colour Box V2 will distort much more readily, giving you a broad spectrum of overdrive, distortion, and fuzz sounds. In addition to the Hi / Lo gain switch, there is a -20 dB pad switch on the right side of the Colour Box V2. This function only works when in XLR input mode and can help tame the volume for high output microphones. The EQ section in blue has three new Shift controls correlating to its standard Treble, Middle and Bass controls. The Shift knobs adjust the range of frequencies that the Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs control. The center frequencies for the Shift knobs are Treble 10kHz, Middle 1kHz, and Bass 120Hz, while the Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs boost or cut with +/- 17 dB of control. If you want to boost high-mid frequencies, turn the Mid Shift knob to 3 o'clock or above and increase the Middle knob above 12 o'clock. If you want to cut upper treble frequencies, turn the Treble Shift knob to 3 o'clock or above and set the Treble knob below 12 o'clock. The Shift knobs give you precision control over the EQ for anything you put through the Colour Box V2. The Hi-Pass section is enabled by the toggle switch below the Hi-Pass knob. Just flip it up to engage the Hi-Pass knob, which spans from 60Hz to 800Hz with a 6dB per octave slope. The Colour Box V2 has a combination XLR and 1/4" input jack to use either an instrument or microphone. Select your input with the input selector switch on the right side of the pedal labeled INST/XLR.

Controls on the Pico POG include dedicated volumes knobs for the SUB OCTAVE, OCTAVE UP, and DRY voices. These three controls act as a mixer for infinite possible voice mixes. The TONE knob features three modes controlled by the FILTER button. In Tone Mode, the knob acts as a tilt-EQ with a flat frequency response in the center, more treble and less bass as you turn the knob clockwise, and less treble and more bass as you turn the knob counterclockwise. In this mode, the EQ is applied to all 3 voices. In Low Pass Filter mode, the knob cuts highs in the Sub and Octave Up voices, while High Pass Filter mode cuts lows in the Sub and Octave Up Voices.

The original sound can be mixed with the synth as well to create an effect that sounds as if the original sound is playing in unison with the synth.

Durch das Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn bleiben Saitenanschläge stärker erhalten und sorgen für einen knackigeren, perkussiven Klang. Je mehr du den Regler gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehst, desto mehr werden die Signalspitzen abgesenkt. Der Sustain-Regler steuert die Stärke der Kompression und sorgt für einen straffen Sound und ein natürliches Sustain ohne Verzerrungen.
Das CS-3 basiert auf einer leistungsfähigen VCA-Schaltung, die eine stabile und gleichmäßige Kompression mit minimalem Grundrauschen ermöglicht. Je mehr du den Regler zurückdrehst, desto softer werden die Höhen, was einen warmen, weicheren Sound erzeugt, der sich besonders für Genre wie Jazz und Neo Soul eignet. Ganz egal, ob du eine Extraportion Biss oder Samt benötigst – mit dem CS-3 kannst du deinen Sound flexibel an deine Musik anpassen.

Compression evens out volume differences by lowering loud sounds and raising quiet ones. The CS-3's Attack knob lets you set how quickly the circuit makes this adjustment. Turning it clockwise preserves string attacks more strongly and creates a crisper, more percussive sound. The more you turn the knob counterclockwise, the more the signal peaks are reduced. The sustain knob controls the strength of the compression and ensures a tight sound and natural sustain without distortion.
The CS-3 is based on a powerful VCA circuit that provides stable and consistent compression with minimal noise. With its characteristic balanced response and compression characteristics, the pedal delivers transparent sound across all playing styles. Das Mini Chorus-Pedal ist ein wunderbar warmer, schimmernder Chorus mit einer deutlichen Klangcharakteristik. Es bietet Regler für Speed und Depth bei allen Modellen, mit einem optionalen Mix-Regler und einem Depth-Toggle-Schalter. S-Speed steuert die Geschwindigkeit des Chorus. D-Depth steuert die Breite des Chorus, von recht flach und dezent bis hin zu super tiefem, verrücktem Pitch-Wahnsinn. Mix (Blend) steuert das Verhältnis zwischen trockenem Signal und Chorus-Signal. Mix hat eine Rastung bei zwölf Uhr, da dies eine 50/50-Mischung ist, aber wie andere erwähnt haben, ermöglicht es das Spielen mit dem Mix-Regler, einen sehr subtilen Chorus zu erzeugen, indem man ihn von zwölf Uhr zurückdreht. Wenn man den Mix-Regler voll aufdreht, kann man sogar einen richtig schönen Vibrato-Effekt erzielen. Mini Chorus pedal is a fabulously warm, shimmery chorus with a distinct voice.
It offers controls for Speed and Depth on all models, with an optional Mix knob and Depth toggle switch.
S-speed  controls the rate if the chorus.
D-depth" controls the width of the chorus, from pretty shallow and subtle to super deep, weird and wacky pitch craziness.
Mix(blend)" controls the wet/dry blend between your dry signal and the chorused signal;
Mix" has a detente at noon because that's a 50/50 blend, but as others have mentioned, playing with the mix knob allows you to mix in a very subtle chorus by backing it down from noon. I've found that by maxing out the "mix" control you can even achieve a really neat vibrato effect.

In addition, you can switch between normal and deep with a toggle switch, enabling a deeper chorus sound.
