The Pearl

The Touch Drive is a versatile overdrive/distortion pedal designed by T1M Effects. It features a three-knob configuration: Volume, Gain, and Shine. The Shine control simply brightens up the signal, allowing for a wide range of tonal variations.

This pedal is capable of producing a variety of sounds, from a light, transparent drive to a thick, gritty distortion. The clipping toggle offers three options, allowing players to experiment with different tonal characteristics.

The Touch Drive is known for its ability to stack well with other drive pedals, particularly TS-style pedals. Running it at 9v or 18v, it can be used to add depth and fullness to a player’s sound.

Touch Drive

This pedal is designed to provide a robust and dynamic overdrive sound, suitable for a wide range of musical styles. It’s often described as having “tons of headroom,” allowing for a strong and clear signal even at higher gain settings.

In comparison to the Touch Drive, which is located on the left side of the Pearl pedalboard, the Punch Drive is designed to be more aggressive and gain-heavy. While the Touch Drive is suitable for stacking with other overdrive pedals or adding a light boost to rhythm tones, the Punch Drive is better suited for creating a more extreme, overdriven sound.
