OVERDRIVE

The Tara is an overdrive pedal developed jointly by the Japanese boutique brand Sunfish Audio and guitarist Takashi Masuzaki, aiming to deliver a drive sound like no other. It packs a simple interface with functions meant to cover a wide gain range for various playing scenarios, helping your favourite guitar and amp reach their full potential. The pedal features an “add C” switch to blend in clean signal (pre-filtered so it doesn’t separate from the distortion) and a “Clipping” switch to toggle between silicon-diode and LED clipping, offering either mid-range compression or wider, more aggressive distortion — and with the volume levels matched as much as possible between the clipping modes for easier setting.
