Der Phase 90 trug maßgeblich zu den zeitlosen Gitarrensounds von “Eruption,“ “Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love,“ “On Fire,“ und “Atomic Punk“, sowie vieler anderer klassischer Van Halen Stücke bei. Entstanden aus einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen Eddie Van Halen und Jim Dunlop ist der EVH 90 eine komplett neu designte Version des legendären Phase 90. Der EVH 90 zeigt genau die gleichen räumlichen Klangverwirbelungen und hypnotischen Phasenverschiebungen, die den Phase 90 so berühmt machten. Als neues Feature besitzt der EVH 90 den Script-Schalter, der es ermöglicht, zwischen dem Vintage 'Script Logo' und dem moderneren, aggressiveren 'Block Logo' Phasersound zu wählen.
