My rhthym guitar sound is based on the use of a 1995 Matchless Tube Pre-amp (original Hot Box before the labeling) running dual mono into a Marshall Valvestate VS232 and to a Peavey Decade, which isn't specifically depicted on the board schematics. 

To avoid any potential impedance issues with the Matchless Tube Preamp, I use a Vertex Interface buffer to assist my pedal chain as follows: running from the guitar to the Send input, from the Send out I go to the Matchless and then back into the Guitar Input of the Vertex. Then from the Guitar output (using a Vertex Y-cable), we go to both a Sonic Research Tuner ST-300 (in true bypass, on all all the time, no output use) and the split goes to a Stone Deaf PDF-1. 

I use a Lehle mono volume pedal after my gain stages to roll up or down the overall volume while maintaining the selected gain outputs (capabilities from the Matchless Preamp, a Stone Deaf PDF-1 and an MXR Fat Sugar).  From the PDF-1 we follow a basic right of passage, going from its non-expressive output to the Fat Sugar input, then out to a Subdecay custom Envelope Filter, then to the input of a GE-7 EQ (with XTS Mod).  

From the GE-7, we go to the Lehle mono volume, then on to a JHS Kill Switch input (because I love having a panic button).  From the Kill Switch we go out to a Thorpy’s CamoFlange with dual outs.  Here, using a Lehle Little Dual amp switcher to split my mono signals to one or both amps through the Vertex, we go from one flanger output to the AB input of the Little Dual and the other output of the flanger to the input of a Foxgear EchoSex Baby. The EchoSex runs out to the A input of the Little Dual. The Little Dual then feeds the two separate amplifier input channels on the Vertex interface from its respective A & B outputs, then using both separate outputs from the Vertex Interface Buffer to both my Marshall and Peavey for a mixed blend ultimately controlled by the Little Dual. 

I use a TrueTone 1Spot CS-12 to power everything except the Matchless, which has it's own built-in power cable/requirement.

Little Dual II

The Gurgle and Moan is an envelope filter effect. This is a prototype pedal, and it does have some quirks and rough edges. On a few of them that we have built they oscillate with the resonance knob cranked. Also there is a bit of a "gurgle" in the background due to some crosstalk issues with the control voltage circuitry. I thought it sounded cool, although it may not be what everyone wants in a filter. 

This is a prototype pedal, and has no artwork, or labeling on the face of the pedal. There is a sticker on the back with a brief explanation of what the knobs do.

Controls
Lower right knob: Shape - Varies the shape of the filter from band pass or low pass.
Lower left knob: Resonance - Accents the cut off frequency of the filter. (At max setting it may oscillate)
Upper right knob: Depth- Varies how far your playing dynamics will modulate the filter cutoff frequency.
Upper left knob: Frequency - Varies the cut off frequency of the filter

Warranty: If it ever breaks send it back to us and we will fix it, unfortunately we no longer cover polar bear attacks, alien abduction, willfully destroyed pedals, or any claims involving time travel or toaster repair.

This pedal can be powered by a 9V battery or a standard boss style barrel plug adaptor. Has an LED, True bypass, and a powder coated finish for durability.

Wenn Burkhard Lehle etwas baut, dann richtig und ohne Kompromisse. Mit seinem Mono Volume Pedal hat er ein High End Pedal ohne die sonst bei Volumenpedalen auftretenden Nachteile konstruiert. Es wird kein mechanisches Poti verwendet - das Mono Volume arbeitet mit einem Magnet Sensor der ein hochwertiges VCA steuert. Dadurch ist der gesammte Regelbereich gleichmäßig und ohne Klangverlust, Verschleiß und Potikratzen gehören der Vergangenheit an. Desweiteren besteht die Möglichkeit, das Ausgangssignal um bis zu 10 dB zu boosten. Das Pedal läuft sehr gleichmäßig und ruhig, da die Pedalwippe in Low Friction Polymer Gleitlagern läuft. Zusätzlich steht ein gebufferter Direkt Out zur Verfügung der als Tuner Out oder zur Weiterleitung an weiteres Equipment genutzt werden kann. Das Pedal läßt sich durch den niederohmigen Ausgang auch in einem seriellen FX Loops eines Amps betreiben.

When Burkhard Lehle builds something, he does it properly and without compromise. With his Mono Volume Pedal, he has constructed a high-end pedal without the disadvantages that usually occur with volume pedals. No mechanical potentiometer is used - the Mono Volume works with a magnetic sensor that controls a high-quality VCA. This means that the entire control range is even and without loss of sound, wear and potentiometer scratching are a thing of the past. There is also the option of boosting the output signal by up to 10 dB. The pedal runs very evenly and quietly because the pedal rocker runs on low friction polymer plain bearings. There is also a buffered direct out that can be used as a tuner out or for forwarding to other equipment. The pedal can also be operated in a serial FX loop of an amp thanks to the low-impedance output.

Back by popular demand we have finally yielded to customers who wanted the original artwork from McBess but in a different colourway. We also managed to find a manufacturer to manufacturer a custom toggle switch to set the look off and make it look beautiful. 

Still the great sound and simple to use versatility. If you are not familiar then the Q Boost basically gives you two types of boost: Vintage and Modern sides that you can select via the toggle switch. The vintage side will boost your amp with a huge amount of gain to deliver that dying amp sound that’s fuzzy and vintage sounding. Put it in front of a high headroom British style amp and you will have your pants flapping. The clean side is the “Modern” side which is very transparent and increases the overall output from your amp. You can dial it in so this induces a more glassy overdrive tone but all the above is dependent on your pickups and amplifier type. It functions so differently with different amps and pickups.

If you happen to use bass as your primary instrument then don’t sweat this sounds awesome on that too.
