Description
The Dirt Preacher is a hybrid between silicon and germanium transistors that gives you a full range of fuzz tones that sounds like a mix between a Big Muff™ and a Tone Bender™ through your favorite, vintage amp.
With the gain control around 9-10 o'clock you can get an overdriven tone. When turning the gain between 11-1 o'clock you get a smooth, muff-like fuzz and with the gain all the way up you get a gnarly, gritty, wooly, fuzz that sounds like you are pushing a maxed out Tweed amp.
The specifically matched, germanium transistor gives you a vintage grittiness and a little, tube-like sag.Media
