Thanks to a germanium transistor, the 76 offers the best you can expect from a classic fuzz without the disadvantages of a weak signal or poor wiring. In practice, the pedal offers nothing more than a versatile octave fuzz device with a certain amount of character. In addition to the volume and fuzz controls, the 76 has a Texture control that emphasizes the mids and a Color control that provides even more versatility in tone color.
