Das Dunlop CBJ95 Cry Baby Junior Wah wurde speziell für den Einsatz auf Pedalboards entwickelt. Die Anschlüsse für Input, Output und die Stromversorgen befinden sich auf der Stirnseite des Pedals und ermöglichen so eine engere Konfiguration der Pedale und schaffen Platz an den Seiten, der normalerweise von den Kabeln eingenommen wird. Das kompakte Gehäuse mit ca. 20 cm Länge passt perfekt auf eine Vielzahl von Boards und ermöglicht eine schöne, saubere Anordnung der Kabel. Das Cry Baby Junior Wah überzeugt neben dem kompakten Design vor allem durch die vielfältigen Sounds. An der Seite des Pedals befindet sich ein Schalter, mit dem sich drei unterschiedliche Voicings und Sweep-Bereiche auswählen lassen: Das H-Setting bietet den aggressiven, modernen Klang des GCB95, das M-Setting liefert den satten Midrange-Growl alter Vintage Wahs und das L-Setting überzeugt mit einem dunklen und satten Sound.

The Cry Baby Junior Wah is purpose-built for pedalboards. Designed in collaboration with Pedaltrain, this wah has been carefully crafted for maximum layout efficiency on the world's most popular boards. Front-mounted input, output, and power jacks allow for a tighter configuration of pedals, freeing up space on the sides that would normally be taken up by cable ends. And speaking of cables, the Cry Baby Junior Wah's 8" housing length lines up perfectly with the routing spaces on boards such as those from Pedaltrain's Metro Series, in particular—as well as those from the Classic, Novo, and Terra Series—making for a nice, clean arrangement of cords.

The Cry Baby Junior Wah allows for just as much versatility in tone as it does for your pedalboard layout. On the side of the pedal is a convenient and accessible three-position switch that allows you to choose one of our three most popular Cry Baby Wah voices, covering the full frequency spectrum. The H setting gives you the aggressive modern sound of the GCB95, M provides the midrange growl of vintage wah pedals, and L provides a sound that's dark and rich.

Es geht nichts über die Wirkung eines guten Delays. Von subtil bis mächtig findest du es überall in der modernen Musik. Das Mirror Image Delay bringt diese atmosphärischen Effekte in deinen Sound, ob als einfaches Slapback oder üppige Soundscapes mit modulierten Repeats. Als Basis nutzt du Digital, Analog und Tape/Bandecho – jeweils mit zwei Varianten. Ein äußerst inspirierendes Pedal! Wenn du komplexe Beats erzeugen willst, kannst du sogar ein Pattern mit punktierten Achtelnoten dazuschalten, zum Beispiel für irisch angehauchten Stil. Wenn du das Pedal stummschaltest, klingt das Delay trotzdem sanft aus.

Mirror Image Delay

Es gibt viele Pedale, die einen Röhren-Breakup simulieren. Wir haben uns entschieden, keinen Röhren-Distortion nachzubauen, sondern echte Vakuum-Röhren einzusetzen. Das Herz des kompakten MTG Pedals besteht aus einer NOS (New Old Stock) US-made 6205 Vorstufenröhre. Ein 3-Band-EQ mit Tight-Schalter sowie zuschaltbarem Boost und eigenen Level- und Boost-Reglern ermöglicht kreatives Klangdesign mit dem Original-Röhrensound.

Fender has expanded their line of ruggedly built pedals considerably over the past two years. New to their line of tube-based pedals, the MTG: LA Tube Distortion joins their two other tube-based pedals (see our review of the Tube Tremolo). And while overdrive pedals may seem to be a dime a dozen, this particular pedal was designed in collaboration with famed amp builder, Bruce Egnater (If you don’t know who Bruce Egnater is, visit the Egnater Amps website and read up).
