Der zentrale Zugang zur Signalversorgung erfolgt durch eine TRS 6,3 mm Stereoklinkenbuchse. Da es sich bei den Klinkenbuchsen um Durchgangsbuchsen handelt, ist auch in umgekehrter Richtung eine Weiterleitung von Signalen an externe Pedale, wie z.B. Wah, möglich. Auch sind, durch die Verwendung von TRS-Stereo-Buchsen, „Send/Return“-Anwendungen (A- = Tip und B- = Ring) einfach realisierbar.

The Mini Mounting MOD TRS provides convenient access to the signal supply of the pedals on the board. It fits perfectly into the RockBoard® LED Light mounting holes and is a versatile, clean mounting solution on all RockBoard® series pedalboards. Central access to the signal supply is provided by a TRS 6.3 mm stereo jack socket. Since the Mini Mounting MOD TRS uses through-connections between the inner and outer jacks, it is also possible to pass signals in the reverse direction to external pedals, such as Wah. Also, by using TRS stereo jacks, „send/return“ applications (A- = tip and B- = ring) are easy to realize.

Er reproduziert den typischen warmen, harmonisch reichen, „3D“-Klang des EP-3 — verbessert Klarheit, Anschlagdynamik und Gefühl, ohne den Grundsound stark zu verändern. Das Pedal verfügt über einen 3-Wege-Modus-Schalter (Bright / Dark / Mid), um frühe, späte oder hybride EP-3-Töne zu simulieren, sowie über eine Lautstärkeregelung mit Einstellungen für Unity-Gain, leichten Boost oder transparente EQ-Anpassung. Versorgung erfolgt mit 9 V DC (Mitte-negativ), intern wird die Spannung auf etwa 22 V hochtransformiert, um die Betriebsbedingungen des Original-Preamp nachzubilden, was hohe Headroom liefert — ideal um Verstärker anzutreiben oder Effektketten zu klären. Gedacht als „immer-an“-Pedal, wird es häufig ganz am Ende der Signalkette eingesetzt, um den Klang zu veredeln, Fuzz/Drive-Pedale aufzuwerten oder Klarheit nach langen Effektreihen zurückzugeben. The Chase Tone Secret Preamp is a pedal-format recreation of the vintage 1970s solid-state Maestro EP-3 preamp circuit. It reproduces the EP-3’s characteristic warm, harmonically rich, “3D” tone — enhancing clarity, touch sensitivity and dynamic feel without drastically changing the core sound. The pedal offers a 3-way mode switch (Bright / Dark / Mid) to emulate early-, late-, or hybrid-era EP-3 tones, plus a volume control calibrated for unity gain, slight boost or transparent EQ-on output. It runs on 9 V DC (center-negative), internally steps the voltage up to ~22 V to match the original preamp’s operating conditions, and delivers enough headroom to push amps or clean up effects. Designed to be “always-on,” it’s often placed at the end of the signal chain to polish tone, fatten fuzz/drive pedals or restore clarity after long effect chains. When we released our original Compressor back in 2011, it quickly became a favourite among guitar and bass players alike who were searching for something more than the typical oversimplified controls found on most compressor pedals. Now, based on our users’ valuable feedback, we’ve taken everything great about our original Compressor and made it even better. 

On top of the full range of features and controls normally only seen in high end studio equipment, such as input and gain reduction metering, independent attack and release controls, a mix knob for parallel compression, and an external sidechain insert, we’ve now added a ‘tilt’ tone eq control, and a selectable sidechain high pass filter built into the Compressor’s detection circuit. Oh, and the whole package is now half the size and available in two snazzy colours!

Seit 1995 hat sich freilich sehr viel getan – vor allem wurde das Portfolio deutlich erweitert. Heutzutage baut Aguilar Amps, Boxen, Pickups, Elektroniken und Effektpedale. Und ein neuer Spross eben dieser Pedale liegt mir heute zum Test vor: der Grape Phaser!

The 4-stage analog Grape Phaser is a fairly simple pedal with just two dials: rate and color. It’s a solid, high-quality stompbox with a sturdy bypass switch and nice rubber control knobs. The pedal’s rate knob can take the speed of the modulation from a long and luxurious slow sweep all the way up to super-fast alien helicopter sounds. The color control feeds a portion of the signal back through the phase-shifting circuit. The Grape runs on 9V DC from your favorite universal power supply, but accepts a battery, too. The battery is accessed through a clever metal drawer that’s conveniently released with one Phillips screw. The pedal also features what Aguilar calls “gig-saver” bypass, which means if/when power to the pedal is lost, the signal is still passed through the bypassed pedal. I think that feature could really live up to its name! And, of course, the pedal is grape colored.

A line isolator won’t drop your signal level like a direct box will, but will maintain the line level while giving the ability to ground lift and eliminate ground loop noise when running your guitar signal to the main PA.  In addition, transformer isolation insures that Phantom Power from the console never touches the outputs of your FX pedal which can cause damage or bad sound.

The MISO is a 1-channel line isolator box made to integrate with other guitar pedals.  It can deliver pure, clean sounds in the studio and it has also passed the toughest test of touring life as well.
