Das Reuss Goo Goo Fuzz ist ein Klon des legendären Shin-Ei / Univox FY6 Superfuzz-Pedals aus den 1960ern. Gebaut nach dem Originalschema und mit seltenen, neuen, alten Halbleiterteilen aus alten Lagerbeständen.
Die Germaniumdioden im Goo Goo Fuzz sind extrem seltene, neue, alte OA90s aus alten Lagerbeständen und die Transistoren sind die richtige Superfuzz-Mischung aus alten Panasonic 2SC828s und Matsushita „Blechdosen“-2SC539s aus den 60ern. Dies sind genau die Teile, die das Vintage-Schema verlangt. Kein anderer Superfuzz-Klon bietet dieses Maß an absoluter, kostensparender Präzision mit Vintage-Teilen.

The Reuss Goo Goo Fuzz is a clone of the legendary 1960s Shin-Ei / Univox FY6 Superfuzz pedal. Built to the original schematic and featuring rare vintage new old stock semiconductor parts.
The germanium diodes in the Goo Goo Fuzz are ultra rare, vintage new old stock OA90s and the transistors are the correct sixties Superfuzz mix of vintage Panasonic 2SC828s and Matsushita 'tin can' 2SC539s. These are the exact parts, the vintage schematic is calling for. No other Superfuzz clone is offering this level of absolute, no expenses saved, vintage parts accuracy.

Goo Goo Fuzz

The story is, the black box was built by Warren Ellis’ brother Murray from old radio parts, in an attempt to make an Octavia pedal, but coming out as something weird and evil sounding: The Muzz effect.

The Muzz effect itself is based on a 1970s Octavia circuit, with some departures from the vintage design, adding an extra mean and evil character to the already excentric sounds and behaviors of the old classic. The Muzzbomb can be used in much of the same applications as an Octavia. Basically it’s an octave-up fuzz effect with some ring modulation going on too..

The Muzz likes to have a fuzz or an overdrive in front of it as well as after. It’s a tool for experimentation, and the only rule is “no rules”. Warren Ellis generally uses a boutique overdrive before the Muzz, which gives a fatter sound. Putting a dirt pedal after the Muzzbox will usually emphasize the octave-up effect.
