Es gibt genug verrückte Gitarristen, die sich gleichzeitig in mehrere Amps stöpseln. Warum fragst du? Mit einem breiten Repertoire an Songs und der Möglichkeit jeweils den richtigen Amp auszuwählen, klingt es nicht nur besser, sondern du groovest auf der Bühne auch leichter! Im Studio schnell mal zwischen Amps zu schalten ohne ein Rack und große Multi-Selektor-Switches rum zu schleppen macht die Sache auch um einiges einfacher… Für genau diese Leute ist der Headlight gemacht! Das Design beginnt mit Radials preisgekröntem Class-A Buffer und Drag™ Regler. Ein einfacher Fußschalter schaltet durch die, an den verschiedenen, durch Transformatoren isolierten Outputs angeschlossenen Amps. Ground Loops können per Knopfdruck eliminiert und das Signal um 180° in der Phase gedreht werden. Der Mute Schalter lässt dich entweder das Signal komplett stumm schalten oder per Knopfdruck die Sonne aufgehen lassen…!

There are plenty of crazy guitarists that will plug into four amps at the same time! Why, say you? With a catalog of songs, having the ability to select the right amp for the right tune not only sounds better, it makes them groove on stage. In the studio, quickly switching between one amp to another without having to bring a rack and large multi-selector footswitch makes things all that much easier. The Headlight is made for these folks. The design begins with Radial’s award winning Class-A buffer and Drag™ control load correction for absolute best tone and natural feel. A single rotational footswitch advances the signal to all of the outputs that are connected. A series of color-coded LEDs follow along for instant visual feedback. To ensure quiet performance, the outputs are transformer isolated. These eliminate ground loops and the hum and buzz that seems to always be present with other switchers. Ground lift and 180º polarity reverse switches are also available to further quiet down the system and ensure all amps play in phase. A mute switch works double duty to either turn all amps off for tuning, or turn them all on to unleash the power of the sun!

Headlight

The MIX 2:1 uses a completely passive circuit that requires no power to operate and allows you to sum two signals together with minimal coloration or distortion. Either signal can be attenuated to create the desired blend between the two, or the level controls can be bypassed altogether, summing each input equally. The MIX 2:1 automatically compensates for the 6dB in voltage gain when summing two in-phase signals together, so you don’t overload the next device in your signal chain. Ground lift switches are provided to remove buzz and hum from ground loops, and the MIX 2:1 is housed in a rugged steel chassis to handle use in the studio and on the road.
