CIOKS 4 Expander is the perfect companion to CIOKS DC7 in case you would like four additional outlets with four selectable voltages on each tap (9, 12, 15 and 18V DC) which can each deliver 660mA at 9V DC. But that is definitely not all – what makes CIOKS 4 Expander truly unique is the fact that you can power it with anything from 9V to 24V DC or 9V to 12V AC via the non-polarized DC socket input. Furthermore CIOKS 4 can even be powered by connecting it to a USB powerbank via its 5V USB C input or by using a tablet or laptop power supply with a USB C plug. The LLX incorporates APIs legendary EQ circuit into a versatile and compact bass guitar pedal. The LLX offers +/- 15dB of gain on 3 bass guitar specific frequencies; 100Hz, 400Hz and 2kHz. The gain stage can be switched from clean boost to overdrive, which drives the input OpAmp and adds even more tone. The micro-Thumpinator is a bandwidth optimizer designed for bass guitar. It removes the low frequency signals that are outside the range of notes produced by the instrument.

Infrasonic frequencies cannot be reproduced by standard bass cabinets but they often make amplifiers clip, especially when they are set to boost the lower frequencies. The Thumpinator filters the signal content optimising the energy delivered by the amplifier. Low-frequency clip is substantially reduced and the sound is tighter especially at high volume levels.

The micro-Thumpinator accepts instrument and line level signals. It can be used between preamplifier and amplifier, between bass and amplifier or anywhere in the effect chain (line or instrument level). It can also be connected directly to an audio interface.

When we released our original Compressor back in 2011, it quickly became a favourite among guitar and bass players alike who were searching for something more than the typical oversimplified controls found on most compressor pedals. Although our original Compressor sounded great on bass (and still does!) we set out to do even better. 
On top of the full range of features and controls normally only seen in high end studio equipment, such as input and gain reduction metering, independent attack and release controls, a mix knob for parallel compression, and an external sidechain insert, we’ve now added a fully variable sidechain high pass filter, and a two position ‘tone + colour’ circuit which adds gentle tone sculpting and harmonic distortion, giving your bass some delicious character.

Ok, so you have eight effects pedals which you use regularly. You use various combinations of these pedals in various songs, but you are not good at tap dancing…or you are just clumsy and have (once or twice) stepped on the ultra tricked out-metalized-distortion pedal for the lead in your one ABBA cover. You have seen the digital effects controllers they use on the big stages, and have secretly yearned for one… even though you may never make the big stage. Enter Thomas Guldmann’s Octa-switch MK3. Your eight effects plug into the eight effects-loops on the back of this unit (all true-bypass, impedance free, gold relays so you can run any of your pedals, new and old without problem), and then by turning on or off the numbered switches in each of eight DIP Bank switches, you determine which effects you wish to use simultaneously in each Bank. There is a blue LED for every effects loop used and for each Bank (so once you are programmed, when you step on Bank 6 you will see the lights of all the effects you have assigned to Bank 6 and the Bank 6 LED). The Octa-switch MK3 has incorporated a couple new features as well! The ninth switch on the left side of the case is a BYPASS Switch….this allows you to completely bypass all eight pedals and enjoy only the unaffected sound of your amplifier. There are also two External Switching jacks which allow you to use two amplifiers and/or switch channels on those amps. Once you have all the Banks programmed, we recommend placing a piece of scotch or electrical tape over each DIP (….just to protect the switch from accidental switching, damage or floods….like beer). There is a buffered (or not….switchable) Mono input and a stereo Output, and the unit is powered by dual 9v batteries, or by a regulated power supply…like the PowerJack or the Pro Power (both by Carl Martin).

Was ist also dieses verrückte Pedal? Nun, auf den ersten Blick sieht es aus wie viele andere Carl Martin-Pedale... es gibt einen High Gain-Kanal, der jede Menge Bässe und schöne knackige Höhen hat, einen sehr dynamischen Crunch-Kanal, der die Mitten mit sehr wenig Kompression betont, und natürlich den berühmten 12db Boost-Kanal, den wir alle so gut kennen.

So what is this crazy pedal? Well, at first glance it looks like many other Carl Martin pedals…there is a High Gain channel which has loads of bottom end and nice crisp highs, a very dynamic Crunch channel which emphasises the mids with very little compression, and of course that famous 12db Boost channel that we are all so familiar with.

Der Data Corrupter ist ein “wilder, aber reproduzierbarer” drei-stimmiger, modulierter, monophoner harmonizierender PLL (Phasenregelschleifen), der dein Eingangssignal nimmt und es „brutal in einen schmetternden Square Wave Fuzz Tone verstärkt, diesen multipliziert, herunterbricht und moduliert“ um dir harmonisch komplexe, expressive anschlags-dynamische Analog-Synth Tones, mit bis zu drei Oktaven unter (oder über) dem Originalsignal plus zusätzlichen Harmonien liefert. Um die verkorkste Maschine, die im Mainframe des Data Corrupters schlummert zu erwecken, stelle den Subharmonic Root Schalter auf Oscillator und versuche dich nicht von der sonaren Malware, die du gerade auf deinem Setup installiert hast abzuwenden. Der Data Corrupter nimmt dein Signal in die Mangel und verdreht es in die Summe und die Differenz aus Master Oscillator und Subharmonic mit Frequenzmodulation auf den oberen und unteren Oktaven.

The Data Corrupter is a “wild, yet repeatable” three-voice Modulated Monophonic Harmonizing PLL (phase-locked loop)  that takes your input signal and “brutally amplifies it into a crushing square wave fuzz tone that is then multiplied, divided, and modulated” to create a harmonically complex, expressive, and touch-responsive analog synth tone up to three octaves below (or above) the original, plus additional harmonies. To unleash the cracked machine lurking within the Data Corrupter mainframe, set the Subharmonic Root switch to Oscillator and try not to look away as the sonic malware you just installed mangles your input signal into the sum and difference of both the Master Oscillator and Subharmonic with the Frequency Modulator applied to the upper and lower octaves.

A fully analog stereo loop switcher designed to break boundaries. 
Each stereo loop can be broken up into 2x mono loops with an Y-cable and in the looper used as 2x complete independent mono loops (Y-TRS-Cables). As these cannot be displayed in this tool (but often used to double the loops on big boards) we configured in this tool 3 stereo connections as 6x mono loops.
