Launched in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble was not only the world’s first chorus effect pedal, but also the very first BOSS pedal. Three years later, this inventive new sound was squeezed into the blue CE-2 Chorus, and chorus pedals have remained in the compact lineup ever since. The EarthQuaker Devices Plumes is based on the legendary green overdrive pedal, which has been the industry standard for decades. In combination with a good tube amp, the Plumes creates a warm, transparent saturation. EarthQuaker Devices relinquishes the trusted JRC4558 OpAmp and BJT Buffers and replaces them with low noise JFET OpAmps for a more robust and precise signal with a significantly lower noise floor. With 10 megohms of input impedance, the pedal provides a stronger signal with more clarity and chime. In addition, the Plumes offers three selectable clipping modes to ensure that it will work with a wide variety of gear and playing styles. Mode 1 is symmetrical clipping based on a pair of LEDs. This is the crunchiest setting the Plumes has to offer. When played through a clean amp, it will deliver that classic crunchy valve amp tone. Mode 2 is a clean boost without soft clipping and with straight OpAmp drive, perfect for pushing your clean tone out in front or driving the preamp of an already overdriven amp into breakup saturation. Mode 3 is an asymmetrical silicon diode arrangement like an original screamer but with more output and clean clarity.

The Plumes features EarthQuaker Devices relay-based 'soft touch' Flexi-Switch Technology for both momentary and latching footswitch operation.

The pedal is called Supreme because it simply excels in both tone and functionality. Supreme was born in collaboration with the world famous tone connoisseur Matt Schofield. Matt was looking after the best guitar overdrive tones possible and a specific functionality: two pedals in one, switching from one side to the other with just a single press on the switch.

The tones were set for a great all around boost to low gain drive on the A side used mostly on a neck pickup. The A side is heavily based on our famous Royal Blue Overdrive pedal. And for the B side a fat dynamic tone containing some ”power amp” response with a lot of headroom. The B side is a completely new design and is used mostly on a bridge pickup. This is the way Matt prefers to use the Supreme pedal.

Die Schaltung des Snow White Autowah (SWAW) basiert auf einer 1991 von BJF entwickelten Rack-Mount-Fernbedienungs-Wah-Schaltung und ist wie ein echtes Wah-Pedal abgestimmt. Die Schaltung wurde mit Hüllkurvenreglern überarbeitet und in ein kompaktes Pedal eingebaut. Es verfügt über eine sehr schnelle Nachführung und eine Präzision, die bei Auto-Wahs/Hüllkurvenfiltern selten zu finden ist. Mit den vier Reglern haben Sie die vollständige Kontrolle über den Effekt. SWAW funktioniert sowohl mit Gitarre als auch mit Bass, und du kannst das Pedal genau auf dein Instrument, deinen Spielstil und deinen Klanggeschmack abstimmen.
Das Pedal verfügt über einen einzigartigen Decay-Regler für die Abklinggeschwindigkeit der Filterfrequenz. Du kannst ihn schnell einstellen, um Wah-Effekte bei jeder Note zu erzielen, oder langsamer für einen traditionelleren Auto-Wah-Sound.

The Snow White Autowah (SWAW) circuit is based on a 1991 BJF rack mount remote wah circuit and is tuned like a real wah. The circuit was redesigned with envelope controls and built into small size pedal. It has very fast tracking and accuracy rarely found on auto wahs/ envelope filters. With the four knobs, you can have total control of the effect. SWAW works both with guitar and bass and you can fine-tune the pedal to suit your instrument, your playing style and your taste of tone.
The pedal has a unique decay control for the filter frequency fall speed. You can set it to be fast for wah effects on every note, or slower for a more traditional auto wah sound.
