Description

Jan developed the LEMMING FUZZ for us to combine our favorite features from Big Heart and Fzzz. Starting with a slightly scratchy, crunchy and treble boost/overdrive (distortion turned all the way down), which is perfect for making semi-acoustic guitars a bit more percussive and with more spank, so that they don't sound undefined and mid-range but a bit boxy, more Velvet Underground-like. When you carefully turn up the distortion, it gets scratchier, more Neil Young & Crazy Horse-like, sounds like slightly rusty strings and hot, overdriven tubes. And the more distortion there is, the more the LEMMING comes closer to a real FUZZ, very rich in overtones and assertive, wonderful for leads and solos. We also use it on bass or with synths.
