You can use the 1 Loop BOX in various ways – when the footswitch is OFF, the signal from the input goes directly to the OUTPUT. When the footswitch is ON, the signal from the INPUT is sent to the SEND jack, and the signal from the RETURN jack is sent to the OUTPUT. Das One Control Blackberry Bass OD basiert auf dem klassischen BJFe Blueberry Bass Overdrive, einem der Klassiker aus der frühen BJFe-Produktion. Das Pedal erzeugt einen dezenten Overdrive-Effekt, der speziell für Bassisten (aber auch für Gitarristen) entwickelt wurde und dabei hilft, bei jeder Lautstärke und mit jedem Verstärker einen leicht übersteuerten und präsenteren Bass-Sound zu erzeugen! Diese Qualität wird oft als 'Grit' bezeichnet - ähnlich einem großen Röhrenverstärker, der bei hoher Lautstärke hart gefahren wird - jetzt in einem kompakten Pedal-Format. Bjorn Juhl hat das allererste BBOD-Modell, das er jemals gebaut hat, als Grundlage genommen und der ursprünglichen Schaltung einen neuen Body-Regler hinzugefügt. Der Body-Regler kontrolliert die Midrange im Signal und ermöglicht es, den Bass im Mix besser zu betonen ohne dabei die Lautstärke zu erhöhen. Das Pedal ist außerdem eine Geheimwaffe, um tiefer gestimmten Gitarren und 7/8-Saiter-Modellen eine neue, angezerrte 'Heftigkeit' zu geben ohne dabei an Low-End zu verlieren.

The One Control Blackberry Bass OD hearkens back to the original BJFe Blueberry Bass Overdrive model, one of the classics from early BJFe production. This is a very light overdrive pedal specifically designed for bass players (but also great on guitars) that helps to create a slightly overdriven and more present bass tone at any volume and with any amplifier! Many players have described this quality as 'grit' - similar to a large tube bass amp being driven hard at concert volume, but now in a pedal format. Bjorn Juhl has taken the very first BBOD model he ever created as a basis, and then added a new Body knob to the original circuit, enabling the player to precisely dial in the midrange 'body' frequencies of their tone to make the bass guitar more prominent in the mix without increasing the overall volume. This version is one of One Control's bass-specific tools to enhance your low end presence. It’s also a secret weapon for the downtuned and 7/8 string guitar brigade, with a new heaviness for that lower frequency spectrum.
