Description
This utility device acts as a single-channel passive direct injection box used to convert a high-impedance 1/4-inch unbalanced instrument source into a balanced, low-impedance XLR signal suitable for long cable runs to mixers or PA systems. Utilizing an internal high-quality impedance-matching transformer, it isolates the signal path and achieves low distortion without relying on external power. The face of the unit is equipped with a switchable -20 dB or -40 dB pad to attenuate hot inputs and combat unwanted clipping or signal overloading. Additionally, a built-in ground-lift switch assists in interrupting ground loops to isolate and eliminate audible hum and buzz. A 1/4-inch throughput jack passes an unaltered signal parallel to the input for connection directly into an onstage amplifier.Media
