Description

The Moth Electric S. abbottii is an expanded "Fuzzstortion" based on the classic Interfax Harmonic Percolator circuit. It is designed to improve the stability and usability of the notoriously unpredictable original while maintaining its aggressive, harmonic-rich character. The pedal features a pre-gain "Heavy" control for low-end management and a post-gain low-pass filter to tame high-end harshness. It offers both symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping modes with a granular "Clip" control to blend the diode compression. Built by hand in the USA with through-hole construction, the circuit is modified to be less sensitive to buffers and ambient temperature than vintage units. The S. abbottii transitions from crunchy overdrive to blown-out fuzz and interacts heavily with the instrument's volume knob.
