Pre Amp 150

PREAMP
Description
Designed as a faithful standalone recreation of the preamp section found within the vintage Roland RE-150 Space Echo, this pedal aims to deliver harmonically rich, glassy, and full-bodied tone enhancement. The circuit is painstakingly built around scarce, period-correct NOS JFET transistors, mirroring the specific feel and response of the 1970s hardware. It differs intentionally from later tape echo units that integrated op-amp based preamps, preserving a distinctly musical, console-esque edge-of-breakup saturation. An integrated, switchable JFET clean boost expands the classic architecture, allowing players to push amplifiers harder for extra gain and volume. Simple external controls govern the overall instrument input level and output drive to easily adapt to studio or live signal chains.Media
