Seit geraumer Zeit befindet es sich nun in meinem Besitz, das Zakk Wylde Signature-Chorus Pedal aus dem Hause MXR. Nach nun einiger Zeit, in der sich die Miene hier eingewöhnen konnte, gebe ich ein paar Eindrücke wieder.

Find back the tone from ac/dc with this plexi distortion pedal !

As malcolm young said “nobody would pay attention to anything that was going on until you kicked them right in the teeth with it. », it is in this spirit that the high voltage was designed, a plexi distortion pedal that strongly smash publics’ face. Thanks to his bass killer switch, the chords are powerful and they easily stand out in the mix! This is the end of sticky and fuzzy distortions which drool everywhere. Only good sound, dynamics and energy.

It is from this perspective that the anasounds team, advised by fans of ac/dc, developed this new pedal. At first, the sound was supposed to be close from a marshall plexi pushed to 11 but finally they made a frequency analysis of « it’s a long way to the top (if u wanna rock’n’roll) » from the album high voltage. The chords of the intro are so powerful, so clear and so recognizable, that it was time to launch a pedal that finds back their tone more easily.

Do not be mistaken, with all the available pots and trimpots, it is also very easy to create its own tone!

By choosing Live Mode, the Pedal Controller L6 MKII can function as a traditional pedal controller with each footswitch able to quickly toggle on/off the corresponding loop. In addition to two play modes, the Pedal Controller L6 MKII also has the choice of a pre- or post- signal buffer to choose from to reduce impedance caused by instrument cables or other electronic interference. Without the buffer engaged, the Pedal Controller L6 MKII will operate in true bypass. Die Bezeichnung des Dunlop SC95 Slash Classic Cry Baby Wah-Pedals braucht eigentlich keine weitere Erklärung, denn sowohl das Effektgerät als auch der Künstler, dem es gewidmet ist, dürften jedem ein Begriff sein. Und tatsächlich handelt es sich bei unserem Testpedal um ein Exemplar des Klassikers, das nach den Wünschen eines gewissen Saul Hudson alias Slash modifiziert wurde.

This Cry Baby Wah features a custom-wound resonance inductor, a huge dynamic range, and a wide sweep with LEDs to indicate effect status.

The MXR Dookie Drive Pedal captures the tones of those amps in a single pedal so that you can dial in your own variations of that famous Dookie sound. We borrowed his amps so that the MXR team could carefully analyze all the sonic qualities that make them sound so darn good. After much analysis and A/B testing, our engineers rebuilt the amps from scratch in pedal circuit form and fit them into a single housing. The High Gain and Crunch Gain sections each have their own controls, while the Blend control allows you to mix them together just like Green Day did in the studio. If you want some extra scoop in the midrange of the overall output signal, just hit the Scoop switch.

Layers bases its main experience off a threefold sustain effect that deals in, its namesake, layers. Three onboard sustain layers play concurrently to one another to fashion complex and interesting weaves of notes, as triggered by a variety of methods. By utilizing the dedicated footswitch, Layers can be played manually to sustain notes or remotely by playing dynamics. The pedal’s Trigger knob control can be used to adjust the sensitivity of the automatic trigger sustain function or disable it altogether to offer early insight into this pedal’s options of interactivity.
