The Demeter Amplification Tremulator in the small enclosure with red knobs is a rare, early version of the iconic optical tremolo pedal designed to emulate the classic Fender amp tremolo sound. Housed in a compact “bottom screw” box with distinctive red knobs and “The Tremulator” script on the face, it features simple controls for Depth and Speed, a footswitch, and an LED indicator. The pedal includes an internal trim pot for adjusting the bias of the optical circuit (accessible by removing the bottom plate), offers a slight clean boost, and runs on 9V power via a 1/8" mini plug rather than a standard barrel connector. Known for its warm, pulsing tremolo and legendary reliability, this version is prized by collectors and musicians for its vintage build and classic tone. The main differences between the small enclosure, red knob Demeter Tremulator and the standard TRM-1 Tremulator are cosmetic and related to production era: the early version is smaller, features red knobs, and is more collectible, while the TRM-1 is larger, uses black knobs, and is more widely available. The EHX Pitch Fork transposes an instrument’s pitch over a +/- three octave range and features three modes which allow the pitch to be transposed up, down or both, simultaneously. The pitch shift amount can be set to a fixed interval or continuously varied by an expression pedal or control voltage.

Es ist unklar, wie genau das Flanging entstanden ist. Möglicherweise war es das Ergebnis des Versuchs, die Grenzen der Mehrspuraufnahme auszuloten – vermutlich durch das parallele Abspielen zweier Tonbandmaschinen, die nicht ganz synchron liefen … Vielleicht hat auch einfach jemand im Studio versehentlich die Flanschseite einer Aufwickelspule berührt? Vielleicht war es Les Paul, vielleicht John Lennon und George Martin? Man weiß es nicht genau.

Klar ist jedoch: Die mechanische Studiomethode zur Erzeugung dieses Effekts wurde innerhalb eines Jahrzehnts so verbreitet, dass Unternehmen begannen, den Effekt elektronisch zu simulieren. Diese elektronischen Ansätze waren anfangs innovativ und aufregend, doch in den 80ern wirkten sie abgenutzt und langweilig.

Bei Catalinbread führen wir das darauf zurück, dass diese Geräte den Flanging-Effekt mithilfe eines LFOs erzeugten, der sich in einem vorhersehbaren Tempo auf- und abbewegte – und damit dem Effekt seine Lebendigkeit und Frische nahm. Als wir beschlossen, einen eigenen Flanger zu entwickeln, war uns klar, dass wir ihn so angehen würden, wie es ursprünglich gemacht wurde …


It’s uncertain what exactly the origin of flanging was. It could have been the result of trying to push the boundaries of multitrack recording, probably due to running a couple tape machines in parallel but not quite in sync… Maybe a guy messing around in the studio brushed up against a take-up reel flange accidentally?  Maybe that guy was Les Paul, maybe it was John Lennon and George Martin? It is unclear. But, what is clear is that the mechanical studio method of achieving the effect became, within a decade, commonplace enough for companies to simulate the effect electronically. The electronic approaches were pretty cool and groundbreaking, but by the 80s became tired and worn out. At Catalinbread we attribute this to the fact that these units controlled the flange effect using an LFO that went up and down at a predictable rate taking the life and freshness out of the effect. When we decided to design a flanger, we knew we would approach it the way they originally did it…

Über den Attack-Regler des CS-3 legst du fest, wie schnell die Schaltung diese Anpassung vornimmt. Durch das Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn bleiben Saitenanschläge stärker erhalten und sorgen für einen knackigeren, perkussiven Klang. Je mehr du den Regler gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehst, desto mehr werden die Signalspitzen abgesenkt. Der Sustain-Regler steuert die Stärke der Kompression und sorgt für einen straffen Sound und ein natürliches Sustain ohne Verzerrungen.
Das CS-3 basiert auf einer leistungsfähigen VCA-Schaltung, die eine stabile und gleichmäßige Kompression mit minimalem Grundrauschen ermöglicht. Mit seinem charakteristischen, ausgewogenen Ansprech- und Kompressionsverhalten sorgt das Pedal für einen transparenten Klang über alle Spielstile hinweg. Stärkere Einstellungen betonen die hohen Frequenzen und für einen schärferen, schneidenden Sound – perfekt für glockenklare Arpeggi, funkige Rhythmen und Passagen, die besonders herausstechen sollen. Je mehr du den Regler zurückdrehst, desto softer werden die Höhen, was einen warmen, weicheren Sound erzeugt, der sich besonders für Genre wie Jazz und Neo Soul eignet. Ganz egal, ob du eine Extraportion Biss oder Samt benötigst – mit dem CS-3 kannst du deinen Sound flexibel an deine Musik anpassen.

Compression evens out volume differences by lowering loud sounds and raising quiet ones. The CS-3's Attack knob lets you set how quickly the circuit makes this adjustment. Turning it clockwise preserves string attacks more strongly and creates a crisper, more percussive sound. The more you turn the knob counterclockwise, the more the signal peaks are reduced. The sustain knob controls the strength of the compression and ensures a tight sound and natural sustain without distortion.
The CS-3 is based on a powerful VCA circuit that provides stable and consistent compression with minimal noise. With its characteristic balanced response and compression characteristics, the pedal delivers transparent sound across all playing styles. Whether crisp country licks, powerful power chords, or singing solos, the CS-3 is an indispensable tool for better sound.
The tone control makes the CS-3 even more versatile. It lets you control the EQ of the compressed signal. Based on the specifications of the VOX pedal introduced in the 1960s, this wah-wah offers the same legendary sound. New features include the power supply connection and the buffered input jack, which prevents colouration of the guitar signal when the pedal is switched off. The induction coil of this pedal was clearly inspired by the VOX original and offers correspondingly greater dynamics and a fatter sound. Ursprünglich als integraler Bestandteil der Pete Cornish Custom Pedalboard- und Rack-Systeme entwickelt, ermöglicht der doppelt gepufferte NB-3™ eine Erhöhung der Lautstärke, ohne den Klang zu verändern.

Der Fußschalter an diesem Gerät ist kein Bypass-Schalter; wenn die Kontrollleuchte AUS ist, fungiert der NB-3™ als Unity-Gain-Pufferverstärker mit hoher Signalpegelkapazität und kann lange Kabel ohne Klang- oder Signalverlust treiben.

Wenn die Anzeigeleuchte eingeschaltet ist, steht am Ausgang des Geräts die von dir vorgewählte Verstärkung (bis zu +30 dB) zur Verfügung. Das angehobene Signal wird weder klanglich verändert noch in der Phase verschoben. Wenn der NB-3™ als letzter Effekt kurz vor dem Verstärkereingang verwendet wird, führt er zu einer sofortigen Anhebung des Signalpegels, einschließlich der Ausgänge aller vorangegangenen Effekte. Bei Verwendung mit einem cleanen Verstärker bietet der NB-3™ eine reine Lautstärkeerhöhung und bei Verwendung mit einem übersteuerten Verstärker bringt das zusätzliche Signal deinen Verstärker auf eine neue Stufe der Übersteuerung. Eine alternative Verwendung besteht darin, dein Instrument an den NB-3™-Eingang anzuschließen: Dann kann 1) der NB-3™ Line-Driving und Lastisolierung von der Effektkette bieten und 2) eine sofort schaltbare Erhöhung des Instrumentensignalpegels ermöglichen, die zur Verbesserung des Tons oder zur Übersteuerung nachfolgender Effekte nützlich sein kann. Bitte versichere dich, dass nachfolgende Effekte nicht durch die erhöhte Signalansteuerung beschädigt werden.

Originally designed as an integral part of each Pete Cornish Custom Pedalboard and Rack Systems, the double buffered  NB-3™ allows a boost in volume, without any tonal alteration.

The footswitch on this unit is not a bypass switch; when the indicator light is OFF the NB-3™ acts as a unity gain buffer amplifier with high signal level capability and can drive long cables without tone or signal loss.

When the indicator light is ON your pre-selected amount of boost (up to +30dB) will be available at the output of the unit. There is no tonal change or phase shift to the boosted signal. When used as the final effect, just before the amp input, the NB-3™ will give an instant increase in signal level, including the outputs of any preceding effects. Used with a clean amp the NB-3™ provides a pure volume increase and when used with an overdriven amp the extra signal will take your amp to a new level of overdrive. An alternate use is to connect your instrument to the NB-3™ input: it will then enable 1) the NB-3™ to provide line driving and load isolation from the effects chain and 2) enable an instantly switchable increase of instrument signal level which may be useful for enhancing tone or overdrive into following effects. Please ensure following effects will not be damaged by the increased signal drive.

The PETE CORNISH G-2™ has been hailed as the most original sounding distortion unit available to guitarists in the Rock Arena. It features a four stage overdriven discrete transistor Class A circuit with additional Germanium components that generate much warmer sounding harmonics than anything else on the market. Within the huge tone generated by this unit, the original guitar sound and dynamics are present creating a much more musical effect than any other distortion pedal.
