Lediglich mit einem Regler ausgestattet bietet es die Einstellung des Thresholds und mit Soft-Mode und Hard-Mode zwei Arbeitsweisen des Gates – mehr nicht! Ob sich das NSG klanglich mit seinem radikalen Ansatz von den Mitbewerbern absetzt, soll dieser Test herausfinden.

The NSG: Noise Gate comes as a response to these annoyances. Utilizing an adjustable threshold level to filter out sounds below a certain threshold, allowing for only the desired audio to be seized.

Der EHX Bass Micro Synthesizer ist ein reiner Bassgitarren-Synthesizer mit vollständig analoger Schaltung. Einstellbare Synthesizer-Parameter erzeugen satte, kraftvolle Klänge aus einer anderen Welt.  

Die Voice-Mix-Sektion ermöglicht die Mischung aus vier verschiedenen Stimmen: Sub-Octave, Guitar, Octave und Square Wave. Besonders die Square Wave sorgt für den charakteristischen, fuzzigen Klang des Bass Micro Synthesizers, der an den kosmischen Sound der 70er Jahre erinnert.  

Mit der Attack-Decay-Steuerung lassen sich gestrichene Effekte oder bedrohliche Lautstärkeschwankungen erzeugen, während die Filter-Sweep-Sektion das gesamte Frequenzspektrum durchläuft – von schnellen, präzisen Schnitten von Hoch nach Tief bis hin zu langsamen, fließenden Anstiegen von Tief nach Hoch.

The EHX Bass Micro Synthesizer is a pure bass guitar synthesizer with all analog circuitry. Adjustable synth parameters deliver fat, sweet tones from another world.

Its voice mix section lets you bring in 4 different voices: Sub Octave, Guitar, Octave, and Square Wave. The Square Wave gives the Bass Micro Snythesizer its signature, fuzzy growl that calls back to the cosmic ’70s .

An Attack Decay control creates bowed effects or ominous volume swells while the Filter Sweep section sweeps through the full frequency spectrum for sound from quick high to low chops and slow low to high blooms.

Mike Matthews, the founder of Electro-Harmonix, is a colorful figure. After phenomenal growth of his company in the golden age of rock'n'roll, the 1970s, disillusionment followed in the early 1980s - and finally bankruptcy.

Die One Control Minimal Series AB Box kontrolliert die Signalführung im Setup und kann so flexibel eingesetzt werden um zum Beispiel zwischen zwei Verstärkern oder zwei Instrumenten zu wählen, das Signal bei Bedarf zu muten, den Signalweg zu ändern und vieles mehr. Die AB Box verfügt über einen Eingang und zwei Ausgänge bzw. zwei Eingänge und einen Ausgang - die Buchsen lassen sich in beide Richtungen nutzen. Verbindet man das Instrument mit dem Input kann man über den Fußschalter zwischen den zwei Ausgängen (A oder B) wählen und das Signal von dort weiterführen. Die Minimal Series AB Box kann auch als Eingangswahlschalter verwendet werden, um während eines Live-Gigs schnell und einfach das Instrument zu tauschen. Zwei Gitarren werden mit A und B verbunden das Signal läuft vom Input zum Verstärker. Über den Fußschalter werden die Ausgänge umgeschaltet und die rote und blaue LED zeigen an, welcher Ausgang gerade verwendet wird.

The One Control Minimal Series AB Box controls the direction of your signal path in order to select amps, mute your signal, control what effects you'd like to use, and various other uses. The AB Box has one input and two outputs or two inputs and one output - inputs and outputs can be used in both directions. Plug your guitar into the input and then run from the A or B outputs to your desired destination. The footswitch will select which output is used. When the switch is pressed in the outputs will be toggled and also the red and blue LEDs will indicate which output is currently being used.
