The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Was ist daran so besonders?

Die meisten E-Gitarren sind mit passiven Tonabnehmern ausgestattet und haben eine entsprechend hohe Ausgangsimpedanz. Bei Verwendung eines Gitarrenkabels von 6m oder länger geht im Höhenbereich je länger je mehr vom Gitarren-Sound verloren. Ein Puffer kompensiert diese Signalbeeinträchtigung und somit den Sound-Verlust für lange Kabel – selbst, wenn die Stimmfunktion aus ist.

Der ULTRA-BUFFER verbessert die Klangqualität im Bypass-Betrieb und erhält bei Verwendung eines langen Kabels somit den Sound, ganz gleich, ob es direkt mit dem Tuner oder zunächst mit einem komplexen Effekt-Board verbunden ist.

Der Pitchblack XS erlaubt Wechsel zwischen dem True Bypass- und dem Ultra Buffer-Modus, um in jeder Lebenslage den optimalen Sound zu erzielen.

The Pitchblack XS not only features a true bypass for outputting the sound exactly as it was input, but now includes a built-in ULTRA BUFFER.

Why is this important?

The majority of electric guitars use passive pickups with a high impedance output. When you are using a cable there is a loss of tone, usually high frequencies, after about 6 m (around 18 feet) and this problem gets worse the longer your cable. A buffer boosts the signal over long cables to avoid loss of tone, keeping it clean and clear - even when your pedal is off.

The ULTRA BUFFER enhances the sound quality in bypass mode, so that you can still maintain audio quality even when using a long cable to connect to the tuner, or when inserting the tuner into a complex effects board.

On the Pitchblack XS, you can switch between true bypass and the ULTRA BUFFER, according to your tastes and environment.

Der EarthQuaker Devices Plumes basiert auf dem legendären grünen Overdrive Pedal, das seit Jahrzehnten als Industriestandard gilt. Im Zusammenspiel mit einem guten Röhrenverstärker erzeugt der Plumes eine warme, transparente Sättigung. EarthQuaker verzichtet auf den bewährten JRC4558 OpAmp und die BJT Buffer und ersetzt sie in der Schaltung durch Low Noise JFET OpAmps für einen präziseren Sound mit deutlich geringerem Grundrauschen. Mit 10 Megaohm Eingangsimpedanz bietet das Pedal einen wunderbar klaren, detaillierten Sound. Der Arbeitsbereich des Tone-Reglers wurde ebenfalls angepasst um mit einem satteren Low End ein breiteres Spektrum an möglichen Sounds zu bieten. 

Zusätzlich bietet der Plumes drei wählbare Clipping-Modi um den Sound des Pedals an möglichst viele Stilrichtungen und unterschiedlichstes Equipment anpassen zu können. Mode 1 bietet symmetrisches Clipping, basierend auf einem Paar LEDs. Das Setting bietet den sattesten Crunch und den klassischen Sound eines übersteuerten Röhrenverstärkers. Mode 2 ist ein Clean Boost ohne Soft Clipping, perfekt um den Clean Sound im Mix nach vorne zu bringen oder den Preamp eines Verstärkers in die Sättigung zu fahren. Mode 3 nutzt asymmetrisches Clipping mit Silizium Dioden und klingt am ehesten nach einem originalen Screamer. Im direkten Vergleich liefert das Setting aber mehr Output und klarere Clean Sounds.

Darüber hinaus verfügt der Plumes auch über EarthQuaker Devices 'Soft Touch' Flexi-Switch-Funktion, mit der du im Handumdrehen zwischen Momentary Modus und traditionellem Latching wählen kannst.

The EarthQuaker Devices Plumes is based on the legendary green overdrive pedal, which has been the industry standard for decades. In combination with a good tube amp, the Plumes creates a warm, transparent saturation. EarthQuaker Devices relinquishes the trusted JRC4558 OpAmp and BJT Buffers and replaces them with low noise JFET OpAmps for a more robust and precise signal with a significantly lower noise floor. With 10 megohms of input impedance, the pedal provides a stronger signal with more clarity and chime. In addition, the Plumes offers three selectable clipping modes to ensure that it will work with a wide variety of gear and playing styles. Mode 1 is symmetrical clipping based on a pair of LEDs. This is the crunchiest setting the Plumes has to offer. When played through a clean amp, it will deliver that classic crunchy valve amp tone. Mode 2 is a clean boost without soft clipping and with straight OpAmp drive, perfect for pushing your clean tone out in front or driving the preamp of an already overdriven amp into breakup saturation. Mode 3 is an asymmetrical silicon diode arrangement like an original screamer but with more output and clean clarity.

The Plumes features EarthQuaker Devices relay-based 'soft touch' Flexi-Switch Technology for both momentary and latching footswitch operation.

Speed Tripper ist ein optischer Phaser, der in den Feedback-Pfad einer Delay-Schaltung eingebaut ist – und zu unserer Überraschung sind die Ergebnisse unglaublich einzigartig. Die Wiederholungen biegen sich gegenseitig in und aus der Phase, was zu gefilterten, sich verändernden Wellen führt, die jenseits von psychedelisch klingen. Es scheint ein so einfaches Konzept zu sein; wir waren überrascht, dass wir das noch nie zuvor gehört hatten. Die tatsächlichen Klänge des Trippens! Füge den DBA-Touch hinzu, bei dem „alles bis zum Äußersten getrieben werden muss“, und da hast du es – du bist auf Speed am Trippeln!

Speed Tripper is an optical phaser placed in the feedback path of a delay circuit - and to our surprise - the results are incredibly unique. The repeats bend in and out of phase with one another, giving filtered, morphing swells that sound beyond psychedelic. It seems like such a simple concept; we were surprised we had never heard this before. The actual sounds of tripping! Slap on the DBA touch where “everything must be done to the extreme” and there you have it, you are tripping on speed!

Vor einiger Zeit haben sich Oliver Ackermann sowie Alex Maas und Christian Bland von The Black Angels zusammengesetzt, um das psychedelischste Space-Tripper-Reverb- und Delay-Pedal aller Zeiten zu entwickeln.

„Was ist mit einem Reverb, das so großartig ist, dass ich es auf allem verwenden kann?“

„Es muss auf mein Pedalboard passen.“

Nach unzähligen Tassen Kaffee und nächtelangen, verrückten Schaltungen landeten wir auf einem Reverb, das interne Reflexionen von Segmenten gekammter Filterwellenform von null bis ins Unendliche vervielfacht, und kombinierten es mit einem sorgfältig abgestimmten, multifunktionalen Delay – und voilà: der PHOSPHENE SCREAM war geboren. Dieses magische Pedal erzeugt jeden Reverb- und Delay-Sound, den man sich vorstellen kann, von den psychedelischen Klängen der 60er bis zu den Zukunfts-Punks, die bereit sind, durch das 22. Jahrhundert zu fliegen.

Die Hall-Effekte decken das gesamte Spektrum ab, das man sich für Reverb wünschen kann – von engen Räumen zur Klangverdickung über realistische Hallen bis hin zu Wellen nahezu endloser Süße. Das Delay ist so konzipiert, dass ein Knopf das Delay einblendet und gleichzeitig die Feedback-Regelung hochfährt, sodass man von slapback-artigen Echos bis hin zum blutjagenden Schrei-Effekt in kürzester Zeit wechseln kann.

Some time ago, Oliver Ackermann got together with Alex Maas and Christian Bland from The Black Angels to dream up the most blasted out psychedelic space tripper reverb and delay pedal of all time.

“It’s gotta dig craters in the moon, man.”

“I want an echo that gives you real live flashbacks.”

“How about a reverb so great I can use it on everything?”

“It has to fit on my pedalboard.”

After many pots of coffee and endless late-night circuit-bending freakouts, we landed on a reverb that multiplies internal reflections of segments of comb filtered waveforms from zero to infinity and smashed it into a meticulously tuned multifunctional delay, and voilà–the PHOSPHENE SCREAM was born. This magic pedal generates every reverb and delay sound under the sun from ‘60s psychedelic movers to the future punks ready to laser through the 22nd century.

The reverberation effects cover the entire range of everything you could dream up in a reverb–tight rooms for thickening, realistic halls to waves of almost never-ending sweetness, while the delay is set up so that one knob blends in the delay while simultaneously turning up the feedback, warping from slapback to bloodcurdling scream in no time at all.

Wir haben jahrelang eine stark modifizierte Version dieser Schaltung in unseren Sonic Boom Multi-Effekt-Pedalen verbaut und haben ungefähr eine Million Anfragen nach einem eigenständigen Repeater-Pedal erhalten. Wir wollten sicherstellen, dass wir das beste Repeater-Pedal anbieten, also haben wir alle eure Wünsche berücksichtigt, bevor wir loslegten. Unserer ist nicht nur geräuscharm, sondern hat auch die HÖCHSTE AUSGANGSLAUTSTÄRKE, fast doppelt so viel wie Unity-Gain! Wenn du ihn nach deinem „Dieser Akkord ist dir gewidmet…“ einschalten und dann den ganzen Raum zum Vibrieren bringen möchtest, nun… das kannst du. „Er wird nicht langsam genug.“ Check. Unser Repeater bietet die langsamste LFO-Rate, sodass du wirklich unheimlich werden kannst. 

The REPEATER is our version of the Vox Repeat Percussion tremolo.
We've been building a highly modified version of this circuit into our Sonic Boom multi-effects pedals for years and have received about a million requests for a stand alone repeater pedal. We wanted to make sure we offered the best repeater pedal available, so we listened to all your requests before we got down to it. Our REPEATER is the answer to complaints we've received about other Vox Repeat Percussion clones: "There's no expression pedal jack." Check. You can use our repeater with any 100K expression pedal or volume pedal to control the LFO rate hands free. "The (product name omitted) ticks very loudly, so much I can't use it." Check. Our REPEATER has the least LFO background noise and lowest signal to noise ratio of any on the market. The Repeater oscillator is also powered off when bypassed so there is no chance of ticking when bypassed. "The (product name omitted) isn't loud enough, it's not even unity gain." Check. Ours is not only the lowest noise, but it is also the HIGHEST OUTPUT VOLUME, almost twice unity gain! If you want to kick this on after you say "this chord is dedicated to you..." and then make the whole room vibrate, well... you can. "It doesn't go slow enough." Check. Our repeater offers the slowest LFO rate so you can really get creepy.

Der Death By Audio Evil Filter ist ein abgedrehter Multimode-Filter, der in einem extrem schlanken, Laser-geätzten Gehäuse kommt. Der verwendete IC-Chip erzeugt einen einzigartigen, hyper-präzisen Filter-Sound. Mit High-Pass-, Band-Pass- und Low-Pass-Modi sowie zwei wählbaren Resonance-Arten ist der Evil Filter in der Lage, jeden Sound 'in seine Einzelteile zu zerlegen' - oder einfach das vielleicht verrückteste Wah zu sein, dass man je gehört hat. With high pass, band pass, and low pass modes, as well as two types of screaming resonance, the Evil Filter is ready to saw any sound into pieces - or just be the most insane wah you've ever heard. The Evil Filter's two fuzzes take signals into a much more twisted dimension, creating a blooming compression that's perfect for ripping solos and walls of noise alike. Push it past the limit into octaves up, down, and snarling wavefolding sounds. Using the CV/Expression input, you can also control the filter cutoff frequency with an expression pedal or synthesizer.

Der preisgekrönte Levitation Reverb basiert auf dem Ghost Echo von EarthQuaker Devices und bietet exzellente Old School Spring-Reverb- und Plate-Reverb-Sounds. Wahlweise sind sehr lange Abklingzeiten einstellbar, auf Wunsch auch ein "klingelnder" bzw. scheppernder Hall dank des Atmosphere-Reglers. Das Levitation Reverb ist ausgestattet mit Reglern für Decay, Atmosphere, Mix und Tone, einen Length-Umschalter für die Hall-Länge und einen True Bypass. Der Levitation V2 verfügt über einen geräuschlosen, relais-basierten Soft-Touch Fußschalter. Audiosignale haben keinen Durchgang, wenn das Gerät nicht mit Strom versorgt wird.

The Levitation Reverb builds on the base sound found in the Ghost Echo from EarthQuaker Devices and delivers excellent old-school spring and plate reverb sounds. It offers very long adjustable decay times as well as ringing plate and rattling hall reverb sounds thanks to its Atmosphere control. It features controls for Decay, Atmosphere, Mix and Tone, a Length switch for the reverb duration and True Bypass. The Levitation V2 uses silent relay-based soft touch switching. Audio will not pass without power.
