Description

This classic analog effects pedal bridges the sonic gap between smooth overdrive and saturated fuzz. Employing a simple hard-clipping circuit architecture, its design relies on a single operational amplifier combined with a pair of germanium clipping diodes. This configuration creates a distinctively warm, textured saturation that responds dynamically to the output volume of an instrument. Intended to preserve the core tone of the amplifier, it functions optimally when pushing the front end of a tube amplifier into natural breakup. The interface features straightforward adjustments, relying on only two physical knobs to manipulate overall output gain and the distortion ratio.
