The improved RockBoard® MODs V2 are simple all-in-one patchbays for RockBoard pedalboards with a new, refreshed design, and compact housing. Utilizing the MOD slot on all new RockBoards® (except the DUO series), they provide various cable connections to fit a wide variety of needs as a convenient patchbay. With the RockBoard® MODs, you can permanently connect your pedals underneath your board and organize all connections to and from your effects setup in one convenient module. The RockBoard® MODs provide a central access point from your instrument to your amp, as well as your power supply via IEC, and a 2.1 x 5.5 barrel thru power connector. The RockBoard® MOD 1 V2 is a pass-thru box especially designed for guitar and bass players. The One Control Agamidae Tail Loop is a programmable six-channel loop switcher equipped with six DC outputs. With two selectable switching modes, the switcher can be perfectly integrated into any setup - in Direct/Edit Mode, all six loops can be activated individually using the respective footswitch; in Recall Mode, the Agamidae works with the stored presets. Any combination of the six loops can be saved in each preset. Having various pedals with different shapes and sizes can make it a challenge to stomp pedals one by one in a live situation. With the Agamidae all of your switches have the same size and are easily lined up with bright LEDs making it very easy to see whether you pedals are active or not.

Das Electro Harmonix Oceans 12 ist ein Stereo-Reverb-Pedal, das, wie der Name schon erahnen lässt, mit gleich 12 verschiedenen Reverb-Modi den Spieler beglücken möchte. Damit hat das Oceans 12 im Gegensatz zum seinem ebenfalls von uns getesteten Vorgänger, dem Oceans 11, noch einen Algorithmus mehr an Bord. Viel entscheidender ist aber die Möglichkeit, gleich zwei Reverbs parallel oder in Serie zu schalten, und das in Stereo.

The EHX Oceans 12 is the Oceans 11’s big brother with even more reverbs and functionality. It features two simultaneous, independent, stereo reverb engines, series and parallel control for the dual reverbs, 24 presets and advanced I/O allowing for stereo in/out or mono send/return with pre and post reverb options. The pedal also includes a new Tide Control for stereo image alteration, a Lo-fi Control, an infinite attenuation control and an input jack for external expression and 3-button footswitch control.

A Tails switch provides a choice of whether the reverb effect fades out naturally or stops immediately when the pedal is switched to bypass. In most settings the pedal is also capable of producing infinite reverb which can be played over with a different reverb effect.

The Oceans 12’s reverbs are:
• ROOM – two modes: reverb algorithms modeled after a lively room and a spacious performance hall
• SPRING – two modes: vintage 1962 Fender® 6G15 tube reverb emulation and the spring algorithm from the EHX Holy Grail
• PLATE – two modes: two emulations of the smooth, metal plate reverb often used in high-end recording studios during the 1960s and ‘70s
• REVERSE – two modes: a reverse reverb effect as well as true reversed echoes
• ECHO – three modes: a digital delay with various echo rhythms feeding into a plate reverb
• TREM – three modes: a classic, periodic volume envelope with various shapes applied to both the wet and dry mix of a hall reverb
• MOD – three modes: combinations of chorus and flange reverbs that create rich reverb tails
• DYNA – three dynamic, experimental reverb algorithms: swell, gate and duck
• AUTO-INF – three modes: auto-infinite reverb (w/optional chorus or flange) that “listens” to your playing and crossfades to a new reverb wash upon detection of newly struck notes.
• SHIMMER – two modes: two configurations of a rich octave-shifted reverb wash
• POLYPHONIC – two modes: two configurable bi-directional pitch shifts that add dimensionality to the reverb tail
• RESONANT – two modes: reverb excited by tunable resonators and configurable self-oscillating filters on the reverb tail

The OCD was the first pedal to use Mosfets as clipping devices. Another first was their configuration as "hard clippers connected to v-ref" instead of to ground, as was the norm. These things contribute greatly as to why the OCD has such touch-sensitivity...why they react so well when the strings are hit hard or soft, and why they sound & feel different than all other pedals out there, 90% of which are just slight tweaks of the Tube Screamer.

The Jack ist der Allround-Amplifier von Victory und wurde ursprünglich in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fusion-Gitarrist Guthrie Govan entwickelt. Er bietet von glasklaren Cleans bis extremer Verzerrung alles was man sich von einem Gitarrenverstärker wünschen könnte. Die Sounds sind dabei auf einen Clean und einen Overdrive Channel aufgeteilt, jeweils mit einzelnen Master Volume Reglern. Ersterer lässt sich per Fußschalter auch in einen Crunch Mode versetzen. Der rückseitige Nomod-Schalter sorgt für ein tighteres Lowend, was gerade bei höherer Verzerrung äußerst nützlich ist.

Neben der 30 Watt Lunchbox Version V30, gibt es auch das V130 Topteil im Holz und Tolex Gehäuse mit 100 Watt Leistung und zwei Gain Modes im Overdrive Channel. Ebenfalls erhältlich sind der V4 The Jack Preamp und der V4 The Jack Pedalboard Amp sowie das V1 The Jack Pedal, mit dem sich jeder Amp mit den Crunch-, Overdrive- und Lead-Sounds der The Jack Amps kombinieren lässt.


The Jack is Victory's all-around amplifier and was originally developed in collaboration with fusion guitarist Guthrie Govan. It offers everything you could want from a guitar amp, from crystal clear cleans to extreme distortion. The sounds are split between a clean and an overdrive channel, each with individual master volume controls. The former can also be set to crunch mode via a footswitch. The Nomod switch on the back provides a tighter low end, which is extremely useful for higher distortion.

In addition to the 30-watt lunchbox version V30, there is also the V130 top in wood and tolex housing with 100 watts of power and two gain modes in the overdrive channel. Also available are the V4 The Jack Preamp and the V4 The Jack Pedalboard Amp as well as the V1 The Jack Pedal, which can be used to combine any amp with the crunch, overdrive and lead sounds of The Jack amps.

Das Pedal bietet ein extrem breites Spektrum an unterschiedlichen, riesigen, ausladenden und magischen Ambient-Reverbs und deckt von wilden, verschlungenen Hall-Effekten über atmosphärische, kurze, digitale Delays bis zu Staccato-artigen, rhythmischen Wiederholungen mit bizarren Sounds alle denkbaren Effekte ab. Die Regelmöglichkeiten für Length (Länge des Nachhalls), Dampen (Tone), Reflect (Depth, Regeneration) und Mix (Wet/Dry-Mix) sind bekannte Parameter bei Reverb-Pedalen und arbeiten sehr intuitiv. Der Diffuse-Regler kontrolliert die Streuung des Nachhalls und ermöglicht je nach Setting aggressivere Sounds, bei denen das Einsetzen der einzelnen Wiederholungen deutlicher hörbar oder weicher und verwaschener wird. Der Drag-Regler trennt die digitalen Delay-Gruppen voneinander. So rücken den Repeats je nach Setting näher aneinander (Hall-ähnlicher Effekt) oder werden auseinander gezogen, sodass statt eines Halls verstreute Ping-Pong-Effekte zu hören sind.

The EarthQuaker Devices Afterneath V3 sounds a lot like it looks: a sound wizard bursting forth from ethereal cave and ready for the ambient reverb battle. The pedal offers an extremely wide range of different, vast, expansive, and magical ambient reverbs and covers all possible effects from wild and cavernous reverb effects to atmospheric reverberations of short digital delays to scattered, rhythmic delays with bizarre characteristics. The controls for Length (decay length of the reverb), Dampen (tone), Reflect (depth, regeneration) and Mix (wet/dry mix) are well-known parameters for reverb pedals and work very intuitively. The Diffuse knob adjusts the spread of the reverb, turned counterclockwise, the reverb is sharper with more attack, resulting in a stuttering sputter of individual early reflections. Clockwise casts a washy, more ambient-sounding effect. Drag separates the individual digital delay lines, clockwise positions will gather the delay lines close together for a more reverb-like effect. Turn the Drag counterclockwise, and the delay lines will begin to pull apart for a scattered ping-pong delay effect.

Die Walrus Audio Julia ist ein komplett analoges Chorus/Vibrato-Pedal, das mit einigen Besonderheiten aufwarten kann. Obwohl es sich bei den beiden um alteingesessene Standard-Effektsounds handelt, versteht es der amerikanische Boutique-Hersteller, mit einigen Extras jenseits der Norm Interesse zu wecken.
So auch bei der Julia, bei der beispielsweise fließend mit einem Blend-Regler zwischen Chorus und Vibrato gewechselt werden kann. Dazu lässt ein Schalter die Wahl, den LFO zu Sinus- oder Dreieck-Wellenformen zu überreden. Was diese Funktionen klanglich bewirken, schauen wir uns im Folgenden an.

The Julia is a fully analog, feature-rich chorus/vibrato packed with a wide array of tonal landscapes begging to be explored. Updated for 2020, Julia now has top mounted jacks, soft switch bypassing and updated art from Adam Forster. 

Julia is able to produce mild smooth chorus, to seasick vibrato and everywhere in between. With controls like Lag, Dry-Chorus-Vibrato Blend, and selectable analog LFO wave shapes, you are able to dial in all types of classic and unique chorus/vibrato sounds; some settings giving a familiar feel while others are not found on traditional chorus pedals.

A special feature of the Julia is the Lag control. The Lag knob lets you set the center delay time that the LFO effect modulates from. From smooth and tight modulation at lower settings, to warbling detune at maximum, the Lag knob adds a new dimension to the traditional Chorus/Vibrato landscape.
