Developed in collaboration with Italian boutique amp and pedal designer Carlo Sorasio, this overdrive pedal delivers dynamic, tube-like saturation. The circuit utilizes MOSFET technology to replicate the gain structure and touch-sensitive response of classic tube preamps. A dedicated three-band equalizer provides flexible tone shaping across bass, middle, and treble frequencies. An onboard pushbutton switch selects between Boost mode for transparent, lower-gain grit and OD mode for aggressive overdrive. Signal preservation across complex routing chains is maintained through an integrated Class A low-impedance output driver. The design is housed in a standard heavy-duty MXR aluminum enclosure with buffered switching.

The Roto Choir recreates both the rotating lower speaker and the treble rotor horn –the only way to attain that complex, multi-dimensional tone. In fact, the Roto Choir utilizes a specifically formulated SansAmp technology to deliver the entire signal chain –from the original tube power amp to the speaker and high-frequency rotor horn, to the microphone used to capture it. This is HD, 3D emulation.

The simple controls hide a wealth of options. Drive adds just the right amount of compression, harmonics and grit. Low and High sculpt the tube amp emulation with powerful EQ curves. The Fast/Slow footswitch allows users to ramp up, slow down or even stop the rotating speaker. There’s also a dedicated control to custom set the Top Speed of your rotor. Want to vary the intensity of the effect? Simply adjust the Position control to move the Roto Choir’s virtual mic closer or further from the horns. Other features include a biamped/single-speaker mode switch, stereo output and a Speaker Sim switch for direct recording.

Das Catalinbread Belle Epoch Delay-Effektpedal orientiert sich am Sound des legendären Maestro Echoplex EP-3, das in den 1970er Jahren zum Arsenal diverser Helden des Rock gehörte, darunter solche Namen wie Brian May, Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour oder Eric Johnson. Sie setzten das Delay oft und gerne ein, neben dem warm klingenden Bandecho-Sound auch wegen seines Preamps, mit dem man einen Amp noch etwas heißer anfahren und zu etwas mehr Zerre überreden konnte.

 The Catalinbread Belle Epoch Tape Echo, has tape echo sounds so authentic you’d swear there was tape inside the pedal! Inspired by the Maestro Echoplex, EP-3 model, perhaps the most famous tape delay ever, the Belle Epoch features everything we love about the EP-3 in a small, maintenance free pedal format. We felt that a “tape echo” pedal was much more than just a standard digital delay with some “filtering” on the repeats. There are a lot of subtle and not-so-subtle traits of the Echoplex that needed to be implemented in order to be authentic. The preamp, the self-oscillation character, the ability to control the “record level” of the signal hitting “tape”, the wow and flutter, the way the repeats decay, the way the circuit interfaces with the amp and other pedals – all these things were important to get right. The original unit was used as a musical instrument unto itself and this is what we captured with the Belle Epoch.

Dementsprechend besticht der MXR Il Diavlolo Overdrive durch den erstklassigen Sound seiner „Hot Rodded“-Schaltung, die über eine erweiterte Bass- und Mittenwiedergabe verfügt und in Verbindung mit den beiden Gain-Modi ein breites Klangspektrum abdeckt. So bietet der Verzerrer nicht nur einen organischen Boost, sondern auch cremigen Overdrive und bissige Verzerrung.

Like its larger predecessor, it's loaded with the silicon BC-108 transistor for a round and dirty crunch. This Classic 108 Fuzz also has the same no-nonsense control interface—just crank the Volume and Fuzz controls to your liking and start riffing. Use the Buffer switch on the side to make the fuzz play nice with wah pedals.

The MXR Fat Sugar Drive brings the Sugar Drive’s diverse range of clear and transparent overdrive tones to MXR’s classic housing for players who prefer its footprint over that of the mini.

This pedal’s versatility comes from its unique Drive control—which replicates an amp’s transition from clean to dirty by blending your clean signal at the start of the sweep—and a little something called a voltage doubler, which increases overall headroom and opens up the sound of the pedal. Together, these elements allow you to serve up everything from a sauced-up boost to full-on blow-tube distortion.

The Fat Sugar Drive is set for true bypass by default, but for the tonal purists who want buffered bypass instead, just remove the bottom plate and flick the internal Buffer switch, close it up, and get to playing. This special edition comes with a custom pink sparkle finish.

Layers bases its main experience off a threefold sustain effect that deals in, its namesake, layers. Three onboard sustain layers play concurrently to one another to fashion complex and interesting weaves of notes, as triggered by a variety of methods. By utilizing the dedicated footswitch, Layers can be played manually to sustain notes or remotely by playing dynamics. The pedal’s Trigger knob control can be used to adjust the sensitivity of the automatic trigger sustain function or disable it altogether to offer early insight into this pedal’s options of interactivity.
