The PORTA424 is the sound of a classic 4 track cassette recorder in pedal form! More specifically, it is an almost exact recreation of a single channel from the MK1 version.  There are a few great Porta-inspired pedals out there, but this is the first to include the entirety of the signal path* with meticulously reconstructed gain staging, so you can perfectly recreate an analog-home-studio sound on the road, without lugging around the attached cassette deck and another three channels. This pedal gives you an input trim, treble and bass shelving EQ, channel fader, and master volume so you can dial in your settings exactly the same way as on the original. It sounds great at the end of your chain for its familiar DI tones, or at the front as a thick, trashy distortion. Either way, this circuit has a special kind of grit that deserved to be taken to the next level of portable!

Wenn man den Fuzz und die Kompression aufdreht, erhält man eine dreckige Oktave, die etwas sanfter ist als bei klassischen Oktav-Fuzz-Pedalen, während man beim Zurückdrehen des Schalters eine saubere Oktave erhält, die Ringmod-ähnliche Sounds erzeugen kann. Diese Funktion kommt auch dann zur Geltung, wenn Sie den Eingang mit einem Fuzz-Pedal Ihrer Wahl ansteuern, um den Oktav-Fuzz zu erzeugen, von dem Sie schon immer geträumt haben. Es gibt auch interne Trimmpotis für den Octave-On-Pegel und den Ton, so dass Sie für Soli anheben und jegliche Härte herausschneiden können.

Prepare to be starstruck! Whereas the standard Astronomer is mostly faithful to the design of the Carlin Compressor, the Astronomer Deluxe adds some cool extra features and flexibility.

The most exciting feature in this version is the Octave switch. This allows you to tap into the rectified signal from the "broken" envelope detector, giving you access to an analog octave up. Turning up the fuzz and compression gives you a dirty octave that's a little bit mellower than classic octave fuzz pedals, while backing it off allows for a clean octave that's capable of ring-mod-like sounds. This feature also shines when you hit the input with your fuzz pedal of choice, giving you the octave fuzz you've been dreaming of. There are also internal trim pots for the octave-on level and tone, so you can boost for solos and cut out any harshness.

Komm über den Ereignishorizont! Der Void Ripper basiert auf dem beliebten FZ-2 und hebt den berühmten schweren Fuzz-Sound mit einigen einzigartigen Modifikationen auf ein ganz neues Niveau.

Der Kern dieser Schaltung ist dem Original treu geblieben, wurde aber um einige nützliche Funktionen erweitert. Die bemerkenswerteste Ergänzung ist ein Octave On/Off-Kippschalter mit zwei Modi. Der Originaleffekt hat eine etwas subtile Oktave, die bei Leads und Powerchords glänzt, aber bei allem anderen eine harsche Dissonanz erzeugt. Mit dem Void Ripper kann man eine der beiden Hälften des Oktav-Schaltkreises abschalten und so die Intermodulationsverzerrung beim Spielen von Akkorden ausschalten. Da die Vorspannung der beiden Seiten leicht unsymmetrisch ist, erhält man durch das Abschalten der einen oder anderen Seite zwei völlig neue Arten von Fuzz mit diesem klassischen Design! Die Modern-Seite erhöht die Verstärkung und klingt wie der Standard-Modus Sans-Octave, während die Vintage-Seite einen wärmeren, stark gesättigten, klassischen Fuzz-Ton liefert. 

Come cross the event horizon! Based on the ever popular FZ-2, the Void Ripper takes a famously heavy fuzz tone to a whole new level with some unique mods.

The core of this circuit is faithful to the original but has been expanded upon with a few useful features. The most notable addition is a two-mode Octave On/Off toggle switch. The original effect has a somewhat subtle octave, which shines on leads and power chords but adds harsh dissonance to everything else. The Void Ripper allows you to turn off either half of the octave circuit, cutting out the intermodulation distortion when playing chords. Since the bias of the two sides is slightly unbalanced, turning off one side or the other gives you two entirely new kinds of fuzz from this classic design! The Modern side boosts the gain and sounds like the standard mode sans-octave, while the Vintage side is a warmer, heavily saturated, classic fuzz tone. 

Void Ripper

This isn't going to be pretty. The Bad Breakup preamp uses two NOS, low-gain silicon transistors to add some nasty grit to your signal, all the way from subtle dirt to all-out fuzz. Not ugly enough for you? Flip on the diode feedback switch for a "faulty-channel" gated fuzz or blown out speaker effect.
