This is the board I use in my cover band. The Cinque 5.2 is maybe too large for the pedals I use, but all in all I'm happy with this Rockboard. I added a small plastic box in the upper left corner for my picks and ear plugs. Under the board is the MOD1 and the Truetone CS12. The FS-5U is to tap-tempo the DD-7.

Was ist daran so besonders?

Die meisten E-Gitarren sind mit passiven Tonabnehmern ausgestattet und haben eine entsprechend hohe Ausgangsimpedanz. Bei Verwendung eines Gitarrenkabels von 6m oder länger geht im Höhenbereich je länger je mehr vom Gitarren-Sound verloren. Ein Puffer kompensiert diese Signalbeeinträchtigung und somit den Sound-Verlust für lange Kabel – selbst, wenn die Stimmfunktion aus ist.

Der ULTRA-BUFFER verbessert die Klangqualität im Bypass-Betrieb und erhält bei Verwendung eines langen Kabels somit den Sound, ganz gleich, ob es direkt mit dem Tuner oder zunächst mit einem komplexen Effekt-Board verbunden ist.

Der Pitchblack XS erlaubt Wechsel zwischen dem True Bypass- und dem Ultra Buffer-Modus, um in jeder Lebenslage den optimalen Sound zu erzielen.

The Pitchblack XS not only features a true bypass for outputting the sound exactly as it was input, but now includes a built-in ULTRA BUFFER.

Why is this important?

The majority of electric guitars use passive pickups with a high impedance output. When you are using a cable there is a loss of tone, usually high frequencies, after about 6 m (around 18 feet) and this problem gets worse the longer your cable. A buffer boosts the signal over long cables to avoid loss of tone, keeping it clean and clear - even when your pedal is off.

The ULTRA BUFFER enhances the sound quality in bypass mode, so that you can still maintain audio quality even when using a long cable to connect to the tuner, or when inserting the tuner into a complex effects board.

On the Pitchblack XS, you can switch between true bypass and the ULTRA BUFFER, according to your tastes and environment.

This is a minimalist post-rock pedalboard. Large reverb and delay spaces are characteristic of the atmospherically dense and cinematic sound of bands like Mogwai, This will destroy you, Caspian or Explosions in the Sky. This board shows a typical setup to achieve this sound aesthetic.

With the Tumnus Deluxe, Brian has set a new standard. Thanks in large part to the design’s articulate-sounding buffer, all of the clarity, punch, and detailed breakup of the original Tumnus are still there. But if you prefer the sound of true bypass performance, just hit the switch on the side of the pedal for uncolored tonal purity. Brian also injected the Tumnus Deluxe with a level of tonal flexibility not previously available on this style of drive. Active bass and mid controls, as well as a regular treble control (the same as the pedal it was inspired by), encourages you to sculpt the tone from this pedal to the demands of your rig. Das MOOER Free Step bringt ein analoges Vintage Wah Wah und ein flexibles Volume pedal zusammen in ein Gehäuse. Im Wah Modus kannst du den Effekt entweder durch einfache Berührung mit der Fußsohle – MOOERs innovativer Foot Sensing Schaltkreis macht‘s möglich – oder durch den traditionellen Fußschalter in Zehenstellung aktivieren. Hier kannst du das Wah dann auch „cocked“ in einer beliebigen Position belassen und es als Filter nutzen. Die Custom Induktor-Spule kann mit dem Q Regler auf deinen Lieblings-Wah Sound eingestellt werden. Im Volume Modus belässt das Free Step jede Nuance deines Tones intakt und sein sanfter und gleichmäßiger Pedalweg machen es zum perfekten Volume-Control Tool an jeder Stelle deines Rigs. Das Minimum Volumen in der Fersenposition kann über den seitlich angebrachten Regler von 0-50 % angepasst werden. All das ist verpackt in einem unheimlich robusten, road-tauglichen Gehäuse.

The MOOER Free Step brings an analog vintage Wah Wah and a flexible volume pedal together into one housing. In Wah Mode, you can activate the effect at the touch of your sole using Mooer’s innovative foot sensing circuit or you can operate it using the traditional toe-down footswitch method, allowing you to leave it cocked in any position you like – just like a filter. The custom inductor can be dialed in to your favorite Wah tone using the very convenient Q Range dial on the side of the pedal. In Volume mode the Free Step will stay faithful in retaining every nuance and detail of your tone. Its smooth, seamless transition makes it a joy to use in any rig to control your volume. The heel down (minimum volume) can be easily adjusted and set anywhere in the range of 0%-50% using the handy min. vol. dial on the side of the pedal. All of this is wrapped up into an incredibly strong and sturdy rocker pedal.
