The MAXZ Pedals MZ-3 Clean Boost is a compact utility boost and buffer pedal designed to increase audio signal strength and preserve sonic fidelity. The circuit provides clean, transparent amplification that maintains the instrument's original equalization profile without adding unwanted coloration. A single rotary control governs the output level, offering a smooth adjustment sweep from subtle unity-gain buffering up to powerful volume elevation. When positioned in front of overdrive or distortion units, the boost pushes front-end gain stages to achieve increased harmonic saturation. Placing the unit toward the end of an effects chain or after dirt pedals yields a direct volume boost suitable for lead passages and soloing.
