The Lusithand Alma Compressor is inspired by the legendary Diamond BCP-1 compressor and Diamond Bass Compressor JR. Like the Diamond BCP-1/Bass Compressor JR, the Alma is an optical compression engine with some definite improvements.

The Ground & Pound has been designed to combine the two pedals that Justin Chancellor uses to help achieve his signature distorted tone, the Turbo Rat with the Bass EQ, and it successfully combines them into a single box with a very compact and easy to use control layout.

We’ve also added a blend control, labelled ‘Mix‘,  which has a very musical compression ratio (2:1) on the clean signal. This mixes very well with the distorted sound and just adds to the overall playing experience.

Neptunium is, as its name implies, based on the Nobelium preamp, which is in turn based on the incredible Noble preamp. The key feature of Nobelium is the XLR D.I. output, which only uses one tube, so I was asked if it would be possible to squeeze just that part into a much smaller enclosure. The result is Neptunium.

Neptunium is a great-sounding, simple to use tube preamp with a D.I. output for going straight to front of house or a recording interface. It features a two-band tonestack based on the classic Fender/Marshall/Vox tonestack. Both controls are boost-only, so a “flat” response is achieved with both controls all the way off.

One way in which Neptunium differs from the Noble preamp is in volume controls; the volume control on the face affects the 1/4″ output, but rather than make the XLR output a fixed level, a separate volume control affecting the XLR output was added to the side of the pedal next to the XLR jack above the ground lift switch.

The Alma Compressor MKII is an evolution of it’s predecessor; it retains all its original elements such as an internal voltage doubling circuit, and a Clean control to be blended with the compressed signal.

As a highlight, the new features of the MKII are a Ratio switch, allowing the user to select between 2:1, 4:1 and 8:1 compression Ratios, as well as a visual indication of how much compression is being applied to the input signal.

Er verfügt über wählbare Kompressionsverhältnisse (2:1, 4:1, 8:1), einen Clean-Blend-Regler für parallele Kompression und einen Tilt-EQ, dessen Mittenfrequenz verschoben werden kann, um den Klang anzupassen. Das Pedal besitzt zudem einen Angriffs-(Attack)-Schalter für schnelle/langsame Kompressionsreaktion und eine -6 dB-Eingangsabschwächung zum Umgang mit hohen Signalpegeln sowie einen internen Spannungsverdoppler für mehr Headroom bei Betrieb über 9 V. Sein Klang ist transparent und musikalisch und eignet sich sowohl für Bass als auch andere Instrumente.

The Lusithand Alma MKIII is a boutique bass compressor pedal featuring an opto-isolator compression design that builds on earlier versions with added flexibility and headroom. It offers selectable compression ratios (2:1, 4:1, 8:1), a clean blend control for parallel compression, and a tilt EQ section that can be shifted between center frequencies to tailor tone. The pedal also includes a fast/slow attack switch and a -6 dB input attenuation to manage hot signals, plus an internal voltage doubler for increased headroom when powered above 9 V. Its circuitry aims for transparent, musical compression suitable for both bass and other instruments.
