Keeley kombiniert zwei völlig unterschiedliche Overdrive- und Distortion-Schaltungen, um vier verschiedene Drives in einer Box zu erzeugen. Der Blues Disorder verfügt über zwei Schalter, mit denen Sie die Klangregelung von der Clipping-Sektion trennen können. Durch Mischen und Anpassen der Tone- und Drive-Schalter erhält man zwei Hybrid-Sounds. Mit beiden Schaltern in der oberen Position ist er ein weicher, sanft clippender Bluesy Breaker. Die BB-Seite ist ein Overdrive mit geringer Verstärkung und sanftem Clipping. Mit beiden Schaltern unten ist es ein voller klingender, hart clippender OC Distortion. Durch das clevere Design bleibt das Pedal ein Overdrive mit drei Reglern und 4 einzigartigen Sounds. Schalte einfach zwischen Buffered und True-Bypass um, je nachdem, was in deinem Rig am besten klingt. Der Keeley Blues Disorder Overdrive und Distortion wird komplett von Keeley Electronics mit einem brandneuen Aluminium-Gehäuse entwickelt und hergestellt.

Keeley combines two completely different overdrive and distortion circuits to create four different drives in one box. The Blues Disorder has two switches that allow you to separate the tone control from the clipping section. By mixing and matching the Tone and Drive switches you get two hybrid sounds. With both switches up it’s a smooth, soft-clipping Bluesy Breaker. The BB side is a low gain, soft-clipping overdrive. With both switches down it’s a fuller sounding, hard-clipping OC Distortion. The clever design keeps the pedal a three knob overdrive with 4 unique sounds. Switch easily between buffered or true-bypass; whichever sounds best in your rig. The Keeley Blues Disorder Overdrive and Distortion is designed and manufactured entirely by Keeley Electronics in the brand new aluminum enclosure.

Tatsächlich wird er bei zurückgedrehtem Volume Regler wirklich clean, mit einer Menge Gain-Reserven. Dagegen klingt ein Tube-Screamer vom Regal flach und eindimensional.

Keeley’s latest mod to the venerable platform has everyone grinning here at the shop. The new mod happened as a result of me trying to be a touch lazy.  Or let’s say, I was trying to find a short cut and struck gold.  In modifying the circuit I came across a way to have variable gain on different parts of the frequency response.  The rather small change isn’t ground breaking, but I’ve never seen it done this way in a tube screamer type of circuit.  The resulting sound is exceptional.  It sounds 3D.  It’s more of everything.  It in fact cleans up really nicely with the volume control even though it has plenty more gain on tap.  It makes a stock screamer sound very flat and one dimensional.  By allowing differing gain rates for the bass response, the bass stays tight and forceful.  The mid range and highs are soaked in sustain and saturation.  The balance is exceptional.
